8 years. That's how long I searched and searched for a plastic surgeon. I followed many of them on social media as well as reading all the reviews I could find. As I narrowed it down and was ready to start making appointments for my consultations, COVID hit. After the elective surgery hold was lifted, I called to make my appointments. At that point, many were 3-12 months out. I tried to get in with a surgeon that is well known not only for her skills but also for her dance and lipsync skills in the operating room. After I saw a video of her and her team dancing and singing WITH an actual patient cut open on the table, I knew she wasn't for me. I wanted a surgeon who took their patient's health seriously and made their safety a priority. I called anyways to have someone to compare the other with. When I called, they would not allow me to come into the office for my consult. They wanted me to send in photos via email of my naked body and then have a video/phone consult and it would be 9-12 months before surgery. Umm NO. That was when I really knew I would not ever be a "Foxy Roxy". I then called Columbus Aesthetic & Plastic Surgery. I knew I wanted to go to Dr. Heck. I scheduled my consult and 2 months later I was sitting in front of Dr. Heck. From the ladies at the front desk to all of Dr. Heck's team, they were SO amazing. I was always greeted with friendly faces and such kindness. They always made me feel like I was the only patient there at the time. This was a big and very long-awaited "event" and everyone at CAPS help to ease my nerves and make me feel welcomed and at home. Dr. Heck was very kind and had a great sense of humor. I felt comfortable sharing my concerns and asking questions. I went in for a mastopexy with possible implants. They didn't try to "up-sale" me or pressure me into anything I didn't want to do. In fact, Dr. Heck took note that I wanted my breast to look natural. I've always been small chested but after significant weight loss and breastfeeding my children I was left with a lot of excess skin. Dr. Heck assured me that if I didn't want implants I didn't "need" them because he felt I had enough of my own breast tissue to get the results I wanted. I felt comfortable and trusted him plus it was saving me money. I got the price right then and there from one of the nurses on his team. The quote was all written out clearly and understandable. After my consult, I scheduled my surgery the next day. My consult was on April 26th and my surgery was scheduled for July 22nd (but was put on the cancelation list by request.) Just 2 weeks later I got a call letting me know they had a cancelation for May 26th. I took it. I had such a fantastic experience from start to finish with CAPS, Dr. Heck, and his whole team. I could not be happier with my end results. Dr. Heck truly is an artist and couldn't have asked for a better outcome. My 8 years of research were worth it. I will be back to Dr. Heck at CAPS...

I had a rhinoplasty with Dr. Wakelin in 2020 after struggling with insecurity about my nose since childhood. I chose him because he came across as kind, professional, and seemed to understand my goals. The surgery itself and the recovery process went smoothly, and I was initially hopeful.
However, as time passed, I realized that my nose was not healing in the way I had envisioned. The tip of my nose became droopy, and it turned out there wasn't enough cartilage to support it. I was devastated. I had spent $9,000 to fix something that had always made me self-consciousâonly to end up even more unhappy with the result than before.
Three years later, I flew in from South Carolina to see Dr. Wakelin again and explain my concerns. I was surprised and disappointed when he told me there was nothing he could do to help and advised me to get a second opinionâeven though he had performed the original surgery. I felt dismissed and unsupported, especially given the emotional and financial investment I had made.
Thankfully, I did get a second opinion. I saw an ENT specialist this year who had no trouble correcting the issues. He even mentioned that my nose didnât look natural and was surprised by the previous surgical work. Importantly, he didnât find any issue with the amount of cartilage in my nose, contradicting what Dr. Wakelin had told me.
I now finally have the nose I originally asked for, but I went through two surgeries and years of disappointment to get here. Looking back, I wish I had done more research and explored more options before making such a major decision. Iâm grateful that my initial surgery was safe, but the outcome and lack of follow-up care were deeply disheartening. I wouldnât want others to go through the...
Read moreMy wife was misdiagnosed by Dr Wetli. We moved passed it because Wetli is young and inexperienced and my wife is a very forgiving person. My daughter had a visit with the same Doctor and was disappointed by her knowledge. I scheduled with Dr. Wetli for a very routine procedure that has never taken more than 20 minutes at another Dermatologist. I scheduled for the first appointment of the day and arrived 15 minutes early. Was kept waiting 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment. Her assistant impatiently shouted my name across the open lobby, which seemed unnecessary as I was the only person waiting. Dr. Wetli took a very brief look at my issue and said that I would have to come back to have that addressed. However, she noticed something else about my appearance that she described in a derogatory manner, said she could perform that procedure during the current visit. I brought her attention back to the issue that I came in to have addressed and that I was not interested in proceeding with her ârecommendationâ. She looked me in the eyes, squinted and pursed her lips. Never had a Doc do that to me before this one. I left and will not return. My family cannot recommend this Dermatologist. After the experience of myself, family and others, I have concluded that part of the business model of this particular business is to try and exploit peopleâs personal insecurities. Just be prepared. Your medical concern will likely take a backseat to their attempts to induce your vanity. Best of luck. Update MAY 17 Despite the below post by the admin personnel promising follow up, absolutely nobody from this practice has contacted me in any form. Just another disappointment...
