As a loyal patron of this bar, I’ve always enjoyed its laid-back atmosphere, friendly staff, and the opportunity to unwind without any drama. I typically come in for a drink or two, keep to myself, and tip generously—often far more than my tab—to show my appreciation. My interactions have always been respectful, and I’ve never had issues with anyone, including the staff.
However, my recent experiences with a bartender named SHYANN have been nothing short of unprofessional and insulting. On multiple occasions, I’ve been treated with suspicion and unfairly accused of making other patrons feel uncomfortable—claims that were later refuted by the very people she referenced. These accusations are entirely baseless and inconsistent with my demeanor, which other bartenders can attest to.
To address the matter, I approached Shyann directly and politely asked if I had ever caused any problems or made her feel uneasy. She assured me I hadn’t, yet her actions suggested otherwise. Following this, she escalated the situation by repeatedly calling over the same individual—apparently to “deal” with me. Let me make this clear: I don’t take threats lightly, and if her intention was intimidation, it was misplaced. I used to box, and I promise you, if it came down to it, this man wouldn’t stand a chance. That’s not bravado; it’s a fact.
Bars are supposed to be spaces where people can relax, engage, and enjoy themselves. Ironically, the few times I’ve loosened up to engage with others, Shyann has intervened, accusing me of causing issues. Her actions are unprofessional, unnecessary, and create a hostile environment for a customer who simply wants to enjoy a quiet drink and leave.
It’s deeply disappointing that this one bartender’s behavior has tainted my experience at what used to be a favorite spot. The remaining staff have always treated me with respect, and I’ve never had issues before. This incident has left a bad taste in my mouth, and I will be addressing it further to ensure that such unacceptable behavior does not go unchecked.
Respectfully, A...
Read moreWow. What great employees at this establishment. I’ve met them all and they are amazing.
This review however is about Cheyanne. Chey always greets me enthusiastically. I’ve never waited a moment for drink. She works the whole bar with a big smile and sometimes amazing dance moves.
The first time I came to this Donnericks I wasn’t drinking anything but soda water. She was very kind about that annoying fact that I can drink a lot of soda water and want a lot of limes. Chey also does taco Tuesday where guests get free amazing tacos, even if they’re buying a single drink and taking advantage.
Chey is an absolute sweetheart who takes care of us all whether we deserve her or not. I have hired bartenders, trained them, and of course been one. Cheyanne is a top one percent angel and a great reason to show up. If I were still in the business I’d try to steal her. You’re lucky you to have her, we’re lucky to have her and I had to mention her impeccable service and attitude. Thank you for employee such an excellent ladies. They rock. That’s why...
Read more(For the people that dont read. Star bar is half a block away and cheaper ) Ordered a double captain coke, 12 dollars. Thought that was high when the next day i realized I'd spent 16$ on one drink +tip at some dingy dive bar with a few aging alcoholics and a malfunctioning pool table for ambience. Asked the bartender the next day about it and it's she says it's always been 9.50$. Apparently it is only Cheyenne that charges you 25% more so just go to the star bar half a block away the drinks are actually 9$
For reference i paid 12$ for a rum and coke in times square new York City at the ball drop. Not the price for this place...
