When our daughter needed to have a unique type of leg amputation, finding a local prosthetist that could assist with this was a challenge until we found Eliana at Hanger. Since this type of prosthetic is pretty rare, she was willing to work with other experts at Hanger locations across the country to ensure that our daughter’s leg was made correctly. Eliana’s knowledge and passion for the work she does shines through with each visit we have with her. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a prosthetist.

On a side note, we would like Hanger corporate to consider creating a badge for “rotationplasty” on their website. There is a wealth of experience within the Hanger network that we feel that patients need to be able to find more easily.

Had an excellent experience with Eliana. She was patient in educating me on a brace for my foot, extremely detail-oriented in measuring and molding, and very helpful in answering my (many!) questions around use, best practices, and fit. Her significant experience in this space was clearly an asset in driving to a decision on which brace would be best. I picked up the brace today and it felt like it fit perfectly. Thanks so much to Eliana Biel and Sarah Harstad Miller for helping me to finally get the prosthetic that is helping me to walk again. My case involved a high above knee amputation which led me to search all my options. My doctor and I chose a procedure called a rotationplasty. This surgery is uncommon and mostly performed on children and rarely older adults. It requires a special and challenging prosthetic. Before coming to Hanger Clinic two previous companies made me prosthetics that I could barely walk in.
