Unfortunately my experience so far has not been a good one. After being in pain for many, many years I was referred to Dr. Rowe for excruciating nerve pain in my lower back. After deciding on a trial for a spinal cord stimulator I began to have hope. The trial was great for 5 days I was almost pain free but thatās where the good news ends. After having the permanent implant things have not gone well at all. I have not received any relief from my pain at all. I am two months out and nothingās changed. I think the most frustrating part after the failure to stop my pain is that all of my office visits have been a problem. Not once have a been seen without a wait of at least 30 mins. Even the day of surgery I was moved back for people having injections and ended up waiting over an hour before being taken back. Thatās a long time to sit feeling apprehensive about facing spinal surgery. Since then I was unable to get anyone on the phone after getting home and experiencing extreme pain and an inability to take the prescribed medication without becoming sick to my stomach. I had to wait 3 days until I finally got a call back. I also have not spoken to or seen Dr Rowe since I left there the day of surgery. All of my follow up appointments are with PA Lauren Ziegler. Lauren seems to be a very nice person but has been unable to address any of my concerns with the procedure not working. Yesterday I had my 8 week follow up and again waited more than 45 minutes. When I asked for someone to check on the timing I was told there was one more patient ahead of me. I chose at that time to leave and possibly reschedule. To expect a patient to sit and wait for almost an hour is just insulting. They should know a person in pain sitting for over 45 minutes only adds to the suffering. Not once have I been seen even close to my appointment time. Now Iām left with trying to decide if I have the implant removed or try to see Dr. Rowe to figure out where I go from here. At this time I lean toward removing the implant. I donāt feel like I am of any interest to them since I agreed to surgery. Before surgery they where very interested and optimistic about my chances of recovery. Since then I feel like there is no interest at all in my particular case. I have not heard from them since I had to leave my appointment yesterday without being seen. I think that shows how important I am as a patient to them. All I can say at this point is I wish I had not had this implant. I have no idea what...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had been seeing a doctor there for at least the past 3 months and this particular doctor provided excellent care to me, but when it came time for me to have an EMG (test) a DR. SHIVANI DUA, M.D. was scheduled to give me the test. My experience with her was HORRIBLE!!! DR. SHIVANI DUA had no bedside manner at all!! When DR. SHIVANI DUA arrived in the room where the test was being administered, she appeared to be in a rush and to my own surprise, she appeared to be totally surprised to see that I was a black woman, so from that point on everything went downhill. When I asked questions about the test, she was very short with me, as if I should already know about the test. Her tone with me was one of which that made me feel she didn't want to deal with me and she wanted to be somewhere else. I think she was surprised that I was even asking her questions. I had already been there 45 minutes past my appointment time and not knowing how long the test would be, I asked DR. SHIVANI DUA if I could use the bathroom before she started the test and she became even more enraged. My experience with Mainline Spine prior to DR. SHIVANI DUA had always been pleasant...from the administrative staff to the technicians, nurses and doctors, but after meeting with DR. SHIVANI DUA... I walked away feeling disgusted about my experience with DR. SHIVANI DUA and she made me feel like my health wasn't important to her and she could treat me however she pleased. I don't know if DR. SHIVANI DUA has a problem with people of color or if she simply doesn't have any idea about how to treat people on a professional level. I also thought perhaps she simply didn't want to be at work that particular day, regardless of any of this, my experience with DR. SHIVANI DUA was HORRIFIC and my only hope is that she improves in her bedside matter. People are coming to you because they have some sort ailment and they don't deserve to be treated like they don't matter or you're too rushed to take the time to explain things or you feel your simply above them. I'm sure you got into this profession for a reason and I only hope it was for all the right reasons... to provide a service for people who...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was in a car accident Aug 2015. I was experiencing lower back, buttocks and left leg pain and numbness. After multiple Chiropractic treatments with no results, my chiropractor recommended I go see Dr. Rowe at Mainline Spine in KOP. I made an appointment and met with him. We agreed to try spinal injections to help with the pain. Unfortunately they only worked temporarily. Dr. Rowe suggested a newer type of surgery to me, an internal spinal stimulator unit, to block the constant and debilitating pain....I went for a second opinion with a different surgeon in Bryn Mawr who agreed with Dr. Rowe, so in July of 2016 we did a 4 day trial, the unit was taped to my back but the electrodes were placed to block the pain on my spine.....all I can say is...they were the BEST 4 days since my accident, I had a minimal amount of pain. Unfortunately because of my insurance, Dr Rowe could not perform the permanent surgery, I had to go see a neurosurgeon in Philadelphia....to say that my experience with him was just as good with Dr Rowe would be a lie.....over the period of Aug 2016 - Feb 2018 I endured 2 botched surgeries, more pain than ever and depression set in, I was in pain constantly....the surgeon wanted to FIX his mistakes one more time but doing a totally different surgery, I told him I wanted to go back to Dr. Rowe for a second opinion....now since I already had the battery in my body for the device my insurance company said that Dr Rowe can do a revision of the battery!!! I had my surgery with Dr Rowe April 26th 2018....and I am almost 1 year PAIN FREE!! No complications from the surgery, the battery has not moved (as it did with previous surgeon) and I am back to a normal life!!! Dr. Rowe truly SAVED my life and my sanity!!! I would definitely recommend anyone to go see him if you are in pain and are facing spinal surgery .....ask for a second opinion and make an appointment with him! You...
