Update:May 29th. When I left the salon I was told to make an appointment with Carolyn for a perm since she is the best. I saw her twice in the salon that day and had her look at my hair for a quote and made my appointment. She told me $130. ...I have long thin hair. Yesterday I called to double check my app date since I took off work. They told m that she was going to call but the price has changed to $200 because they didn't have the rods. I said okay but after thinking about it I called back and asked why she would have quoted me such a different price. Then I tried calling Carolyn today and she didn't answer so I messaged her to let her know I still wanted to get it done but just confused about the prices change. She told me that she wasn't in the salon so I need to call and make my appt. I told her I already had my appointment and everything was fine yesterday. So I called the salon and they told me that she was "right next to me". Lie #1! Then said she could actually do $180 and said I still have my appointment in. So I messaged Carolyn to say I hope that was her and not another Carolyn, somewhat joking. So the quote was $130 now $200, said she wasn't there when she was then said she didn't have the tools but has been doing it for 40 years. At this point I'm not dumb. I've had bad hair experiences in the past and I don't want my hair ruined. The last time I was here was my first haircut in over 4 years. So I told her is she wanted to back out because she did have the tools, it was a lot of work or any other reason that I was 100% fine with it! I wanted to give her the option because I don't want someone working on my hair that doesn't want to be working on my hair.....her response was " I've been doing hair for 40 years, it seems like your uncomfortable so I think it's best you go to someone else. Have a good day."

It's fine if you want to back out but be honest. I will respect you more for that. I'm open and good at communicating my feelings and hope that people would be able to do the same. I told everyone I was going to have my hair done. Everyone at work and all .....I was counting down the days and so excited. This sucks.....the whole situation does.

I think there was some confusion about my appointment but I had an appointment at 2:30 and my stylist was about 20-25 minutes late. It's not uncommon for that to happen. I'm just explaining my experience. It was also my first time there. I had asked for a haircut and to show me ways to style my hair. She put a lot of time and detail into the cut and I appreciate that. My hair has some curls but mostly 2a? (Wavy) She then twisted my hair and it looked like dreadlock and put me under a dryer. When I got home I just rewet my hair and scrunched it myself. She did use my brush and told me about products I can use and I appreciated that too.

Being new to the area, my friend recommended Fresh for my wedding. I went for a trial with Amy. I brought along a few pictures of what I was looking for. Amy took her time to understand what I wanted and was very professional. She took my vision and added to it, and my hair turned out amazing! I booked my bridal party of 8, and my flower girl! On my wedding day, I had a few changes I wanted to make and Amy took the time to help me try different things to see what I wanted. My hair turned out PHENOMINAL! I can actually say, all of my girls' hair turned out amazing. They were staffed with stylists to help keep us on time. They had an area set up with a table where we could have breakfast and sit when we weren't getting our hair done.
