I went to Osteria Saporino in Huntingdon Valley, PA for the first time on Saturday June 13th, 2020. It was the 1st Saturday after the Governor of Pennsylvania allowed Outdoor Dining at Restaurants (during Covid-19 Pandemic). So I was having dinner with my family and a few close friends, we were a group of 18. We were celebrating 2 birthdays and an early Father's Day dinner all at the same time. I was thoroughly and pleasantly surprised. OMG!!! The food I ate was absolutely delicious starting with my appetizers which were Fried Calamari and Mussels in White Wine Garlic sauce. You could taste the freshness of both the mussels and squid; they were definitely NOT Frozen food heated up. The Fried Calamari was cooked and seasoned perfectly with the tastiest light flakey crust. The mussels were also cooked and seasoned well and sauce was tasty. Then for my entree I had the Grilled Salmon with Capers in a Lemon Wine sauce and a side of capellini with olive oil & garlic. Again, the Salmon was seasoned and cooked perfectly. My Entire Meal was Awesome and it has been Years since I had a Perfectly cooked piece of Salmon from any Restaurant. And I'm a Very Picky Foodie. I love and appreciate Great Cooking. This Restaurant is a Hidden Gem. The Food well Surpasses any other Well Known Restaurant and other well known Italian Restaurants such as Cheesecake Factory, Capital Grill, Osteria Vecchia (in Newtown/Richboro, PA), etc. I made sure I Thanked the Chefs/Cooks at the Restaurant for such a Fabulous and Delicious Meal; I let them know how picky of an eater I am and that I ate every bite of food on my plates because ALL of my food was Sooooo Yummy. And Waiters who served our food, etc. took very good care of All 18 of Us; they were all very nice, helpful and accommodating. Everyone who comes to this restaurant will truly enjoy their Food and company. I so appreciate the Staff and Chefs & Cooks for being Open and Serving such great food during this Pandemic. If you are looking to host an event, look no further and book Osteria Saporino. We had our rehearsal dinner here in May 2024 and had an absolutely perfect night thanks to the team here. First the food was absolutely incredible (my Italian grandfather has high standards when it comes to good Italian food and he was very impressed!) and there was so much food included in our package! But equally as important if not more important was how great the owners and staff at Osteria Saporino were with planning such a large event. We had 40 guests and my mother in law had such a wonderful experience planning our dinner here. the owner was respectful and helpful, and they were so accomodating. We wanted the patio at 6 pm on a Friday night (hoping for nice weather) so in order to do they basically reserved both indoor and outdoor space for us for months until we could determine the weather forecast. they were also so accommodating with menu changes for allergy restrictions for my gluten free husband, but also we had one vegetarian guest and they told us don't worry about making a vegetarian option be one of our pre-set choices if we didnt want to, and they would make something special from scratch for her. They also included linens and napkin color choices allowing my mother in law to make a theme.
