Downtown Divas — Local services in Urbana

Hi, The date of this incident and review happened on the same day. The store owner of Downtown Divas accused my 16 year old daughter and her best friend of theft and stealing. My daughter and her friend who are Urbana High School Juniors, honor roll students, national honor society students as well as part of Urbana entrepreneurship were shopping in the downtown Urbana stores. They are both role model kids who often give extra to school functions activities and both are active in the community helping others or underclassmen. We are life long residence of Urbana. The owner of downtown divas I believe her name is Angela claimed my daughter and friend stole clothing. The ignorant store owner then posted pictures of them to other downtown store merchants who believed they were stealing as well. These kids were shopping not stealing. The store owner acknowledged that no clothing was missing however still posted to a facebook group which included photos of them. Stealing is a very serious crime and isn't to be taken lightly. My daughter contacted me and explained herself. I went to the store to get clarification from the owner, I told her she has to be extremely careful on who she accuses of stealing. Without much explaining she called 911 and advised the dispatcher I was being belligerent. She shouldn't be in business in our town and community. What a terrible experience. This is a horribly and profane accusation of two model kids. Then to give zero apologies is even more frustrating and unclassy. My wardrobe just got a serious upgrade at Downtown Divas. I got a super cute casual dress, a fun and colorful skirt paired with a solid color textured shirt and an adorable pair of patterned pants matched with 2 tops (one solid color and the other floral) all top quality fabrics in great condition. My total out the door was $66.50 - that's so crazy cheap for this kind of quality! Now that places are starting to open up and feel a little safer and the weather is warm enough to sit outside, I think I'm ready for my first date night in over a year! The lady working the counter, Pat, was so helpful even taking display clothes off the mannequins with good humor cracking jokes. It all added up to the best experience I've had shopping in a long, long time - discount shopping at its finest. I will definitely be back. Thank you Downtown Divas for creating this...

I just bought a fancy trench coat, name brand that if I bought new would be close to $125. Guess what? I got it for $12. Some serious dealage here.
