This restaurant’s staff (front & kitchen) are in dire need of training. We went early evening 30 May 25. We waited 10 minutes at the desk while the host was talking with a table of customers who had finished their main course. He saw us waiting as did the customers whom he was talking to. When he finally finished he came up to the desk and said just a minute and went to the register to help a waitress that was also waiting for him. This took almost 5 minutes. When he did come back he sat us immediately at a just cleaned table with silverware / napkins & menus only. The waiter came & took out drink orders and seemed confused about the sparkling water request that was clearly on the menu as he brought out 2 things I didn’t request so I said to just bring a plain glass of water at which point he came with what I asked for in the first place. The salads were brought out without bread and still no side plates. The meals came out in a reasonable time. My wife’s chicken dish was way over salted. I had the veal parm. I couldn’t see the veal for the sauce & mozzarella? cheese. The spaghetti was lying in water and the sauce was much to sweet (desert maybe?). The meat appeared to be frozen patties that could have been anything that was breaded and deep fried. The single slice of garlic toast I received with my main dish was so greasy that I couldn’t pick it up without needing to wipe my hand after putting it down. During the course of our meal we noticed other customers coming in and waiting as we did but the the the older couple that came in and the lady was using a walker were left standing for 15 minutes before they were addressed clearly shows how untrained & understaffed this restaurant really is. It’s a shame that this lovely venue does not have the staff to...
Read moreWe were in the area and decided to try this place. Service was friendly enough but the food and ambiance were what tanked my review. This place is trying to be a lot more upscale than it actually is. We were sat in the back room with poor lighting and shawty patches on the wall. The pricing is insane for what you get as well. I ordered the big ragu which was described on the menu as "our red sauce and spaghetti, topped with Italian sausage and meatballs" this plate was 90% sauce (tasted like ragu from a jar) with tiny pieces of meat in it. There weren't any whole meatballs or Italian sausages, nor were there even any distinguishable pieces present on my plate. My plate also had no spaghetti and only one what appeared to be a cheese stuffed ravioli. The vegetable beef soup was okay, but I don't know how you can call that piece of borderline over toasted butter bread a piece of garlic bread.
PS your bathroom stalls are smaller than anything I've ever witnessed. Couldn't even tuck my shirt back in our turn around to flush the toilet without opening...
Read moreVery good all-round experience.🍽. All entrees are family recipes and made right in-house. I ate in the patio. There is inside dining available. Nice outdoorsy feel. Greeted by the owner and Chef all in one. 🙂At mid-afternoon ample parking available easy and table selection. I selected the Holy Grail as it had a few of the entrees on it.👍 Added side salad comes with slice of toasted bread homemade dressing and home marinated olives. Also added meatballs homemade🙂. Check the menu when you click on the menu button below to get specifics of the Grail and the prices. I found everything to be pleasingly delicious. Well worth my visit. I even had an Italian water LOL. I thought I would have an Italian beer. No alcohol. Finished dinner off with two slices of cake couldn't pass up the opportunity to sample the Dulce. I had the apricot cake and the lemon cake both very tasty. This and a tip pushed at $50 don't let this scare you, as I brought home almost half of everything as servings are generous. I will be going...
