I'm more disappointed than anything. I was having a problem with a couple keys on my laptop popping off, so I had taken it in to see if I could get it professionally fixed. The man had told me that I was looking at $199 for labor, plus any additional charges for new parts. It seemed expensive, but I was willing to pay for it. He had me leave my laptop with him (I dropped it off on a Friday), and he said he would call me Wednesday. However, Wednesday came and went and I had to call Thursday afternoon to see what was going on. He hadn't even looked at my laptop and even asked "what was the problem with it again?" I tried to understand he was just busy, so I agreed to let him keep it for another day as he told me he would make a note and call me back Friday morning. So Friday came and went :) No calls, no emails, nothing. At this point, I was over it, so come Monday morning, I called and told them I would be in to pick it up. The man on the other line tried telling me the diagnostic would be done in the afternoon, but I felt like they had more than enough chances to even glance at it. I brought it home and managed to find a site online that sold new keys and came with all 3 parts. I ended up spending $24.46 for 2 keys, had to wait a little over a week and it only took me about 40 minutes to fix them. I would've waited for the shop and paid them what they asked, but I'm disappointed they gave me the runaround and ignored me twice when they had given me days that they would call me. I had AT&T DirectTV with a satellite dish and we had a lot of problems, screen froze , blacked out or went haywire, and the remote was not responding even with new batteries. That contract expired March 2021. I finally called and changed to AT&T DirectTV Streaming. They sent the devices (streaming devices for three tv’s) and said we had to installed them ourselves. Well being seniors we are not tech savvy. After hours of calling/begging AT&T to send a tech to my house to do the install they would not. I have absolutely no one to call to help me out. AT&T says they value me as a customer! That’s a joke! Consumer beware of these big companies like AT&T are no longer helpful when you need an actual person to help. They will walk you through it on the phone but there are so many wires I told them that would not help me. I spent hours on the phone with AT&T getting transferred to unhelpful people.
I finally googled and found Tech2U and spoke to Chris who assured me they could do it for us and help us program remotes, etc.
Tech Ming had the work done in no time, but because of the AT&T satellite service still active I had to spend another hour and a half with AT&T getting another account number to get the streaming to connect.

Read moreI’m very disappointed. I brought my MacBook in to be diagnosed as it started to slow down quite a bit. (6 minute start up time). I was told that my hard drive was starting to fail and that I’d need a new one. They grossly tried to over charge me for the repair so I declined. I guess that upset them because as I’m writing this review it’s been over an hour and my computer is still on the start up page. Their website says that the most expensive shop rate is $199, and yet they were trying to charge me $250. They quoted me a new hard drive at $180, yet I bought one for $100. There was no data recovery required since I saved everything to 2 external drives, and I ended up doing the job myself saving a ridiculous amount of money. 6 minutes to put the new drive in, then just letting the OS install cost me $112 (new drive and a small tool kit). Even if I didn’t do it myself and went somewhere else it would’ve cost me HALF of what they wanted to charge. Again just really disappointed because they were highly recommended by friends and coworkers. I hope nobody else had the same...
