ALDI — Local services in Vandalia

The employees at this Aldis are awesome. They smiled, greeted me, helped me find things that I couldn't find, and were patient.

The only issue I had was the customers. This location seems like a very bad spot for an Aldis. I walked to the cashier to exchange some change that I had, to get a quarter for a a cart... but some tweaker rushed her cart in front of me, and just kept staring at me. I literally had nothing but 2 dimes and a nickel to exhange for a quarter, and she had a cart full of groceries. So I just sat their for 15 minutes, waiting to grab a quarter. There were also parents screaming at their kids, in the store and in the parking lot. I felt like I was in the hotspot...

I don't typically go to any aldis while we are "out of towning it," but I walked in with my 4 kids and was greeted with smiles from customers and workers. It was so peaceful and all around one of the best grocery stores I have walked into to. My 2 youngest were singing the chicken wing song the whole fricken time we were in there, it was starting to bother me and I thought you know maybe the workers and customers are getting bothered or annoyed by it too. So as I am looking around and telling them to hush it, everyone, and I mean everyone, just laughed and said how adorable all my children were. I just want to say thank you aldis for having such a warm and welcoming...

Love the service. But my last order I had yellow onions and red onions and most of them were already rotting. The yellow ones 4 out of 8 were bad even the good ones weren't good just salvageable Out of the red onions 3 out of 4 onions were soft and were already molding. The 4th onion had 1 spot that was soft but I could get enough good off for what I needed it for. I couldn't find how to get a refund and unfortunately it's difficult for me to get to the store and take them in. But I will keep using the pickup service it's very convenient and this is the only problem I've had. Which is a good track...
