I went in today ( 3-11-24) after being a return customer, thinking this is the place to go after getting superb service previously with other devices . I have had an intermediate issue with my iPad Pro 11 not charging . Getting an error stating that accessories arenāt approved ( or something of that nature ) But green charging icon would not come on at all. I had already exchanged my iPad at Apple for a like model ( for other issues ) after calling them to troubleshoot this issue now they want 569.00 to do it again (exchange) screw that noise . After going in to Drop Smash, as it seems to always happen when you take something in for repair , it charges at the desk.. battery showes it was good on tester. the gentleman a young Hispanic kid ( Iām 68 , but by no means stupid when it comes to electronics) so everyone is a youngster to me lol. To top it off Iām a cancer survivor and because of that I have a severe speech impediment , so Iām a bit difficult to understand .
He seemed knowledgeable and suggested that I purchase a different charging cable and or charging block. Since it worked at desk. Cool Iām down with that . Even though all my chargers/blocks are from Apple themselves . They ācouldā be bad . I get home , irated to say the least, plug in to my existing cable set-up and it works . Damn ! So thinking even though it tested fine, maybe it is in fact battery and call him back . This is within 30 minutes of my visit . Ask him what he thought , mind you I was there for 45 minutes trouble shooting this over the counter. I ask him, do you think it could be battery and if so can I order one , Iāll give you my credit card info and you call me when itās in. I donāt want to drive all the way back to Ventura from PH just to have you look at information you already have on your computer . And āifā you need , Iāll read off model number, serial number , send you a picture . Whatever . Iāll give you my payment info, you can run it to make sure itās good . Iām NOT asking for reimbursement for cable I just bought. Just to order a battery . I get the biggest run around , well I need to see it. Why I ask, you just had it in your hands for over 30-45 minutes . Lets order battery I by all means will NOT hold DS responsible if this doesnāt solve the issue. After back and forth this kid hangs up on me after me asking to speak to manager . Kids , absolutely no respect and if I was 30 years younger . Well that may have not been in his best interest to speak to me like he did and then hang up. Iām older now, and wiser , and have learned to select my battles carefully .
I know this it going to get reviewed . And I do like the work ( Iād swear by it ) from the owner . But his help has tons to be desired Iām in your computer Thomas Two-Coats Call me if you value repeat customers . I text better than speak because of reasons stated above . But if youāre patient Iām understandable .
My wife says after getting the response I got over the phone ( he hung up on me ! ) why would I trust someone to work on my electronics ? Iām thinking the owner canāt be everywhere at once and Iād give them another shot. I donāt want anyone but the owner working on it, I know heās honest, and knows what heās doing. This is a small business and I believe in patronizing your neighborhood businessās in lieu of big companies . Iām giving (1) a one star review now because of my recent visit, but they so deserve a ā4ā or a ā5āIt just goes to show you that employees donāt care how they represent you as long as they get their weekly hours on...

I took my samsung galaxy s10+ in to get it repaired. (The screens we both shattered front and back) I had to pay in advance $329.88. I took my phone in and left it there, was called to pick it up (as I was on my way to work). As i was walking up the walkway to my job i noticed some scratches, so i called them. They said bring it in we will have a look. I took it in they never took it out of the otter box to view the full amount of scratches, then after vigorous calling repeatedly they tell me they can order a replacement and it looked to be handling damage. So I take it in so they can "reevaluate " it, this time I take it out of the case myself and give it to them. This time I get told that I put those scratches on my just paid for phone, and called the same exact day to notify them about. Then the manager or I think decided to yell at me that those scratches must have been put there by you, those werent there last time. And I said it was in the case when I brought it how r u going to see them in the case. Which I then got told I would be blacklisted from this business... hahahahhaha I will never ever refer anyone to them. And I wrote a report on the bbb. I spent $329.88 on getting my phone "repaired" only to have to go somewhere and have it "repaired" again. I do not have...

Went in to get my iPad replaced and they had to order a part, which was fine. I communicated to them that this was my main register for my business but about a week and a half later I went in because I hadnāt heard from them yet. And I was told that they had broken a piece inside and so they would have to have to send it out to a different place expertās to get it fixed and was told that would take another two weeks or so. It took about a 2 months and a half almost 3 months to finally get them to return my iPad at which time I said I didnāt want it and that I wanted my money back for that repair that I did not get and I wanted the iPad to get replaced. I did not think that was more than one was deserved in this scenario. Emails ignored calls ignored to management. Iām not sure sure what else to say besides not satisfied not helpful and youāll...
