Arrogant and rude. Snarky employees that think they work at a VIP exclusive club. I remember my first job at a coffee shop... I am a neighbor that has been frequenting this coffee shop with my husband and children since they have opened. We know people who have worked here and also have been familiar with the high turnover of new employees. This morning I waited outside for coffee at 0653 and after the open sign was flipped, doors open and employee standing at register, I walked up and ordered my coffee. She was irritated that I made my order and I asked if that was ok. She said, "We'll, it's 0657.." I was flabbergasted by the reaction. After my coffee was set on the counter with no acknowledgement by me standing there, I simply asked the names of the employees. They immediately reacted by asking me if "I " was starting problems. Again, appalled. I asked myself, "is this seriously a business rn??" They asked why I wanted their names and I responded that I wanted to write a review or let the owner know. Then the girl who claimed to be the manager said “I’m going to have to ask you to leave.” SO.. here is your review and this is for the owner. If your employees/managers are looking for jobs that require entitlement, let them know VCPD is hiring. Mind you- WE ARE NEIGHBORS that have been supporting this local coffee shop since DAY 1. You two girls ought to know better and realize you are doing the business and owner a major disfavor. Word of mouth spreads fast around midtown and just ANOTHER trendy coffee shop with the same color scheme and design in my...
Read moreToday was one of the worst and last experiences I will have at this location. Although the cashier was kind today (which rarely happens to my sister and me), the coffee is always mediocre. Anytime I get a latte it’s like I paid 7 dollars for a glass of milk. I kept coming back hoping it would get better and it did not. The main reason I would come here was because it was a short walk but I now know that I should prioritize quality over convenience. It also feels as though I am not welcome when I walk through the door which is odd because this location is on the avenue which is a majority Latino population. When I see the employees interacting with customers who are not people of color it looks like that is who they’re most comfortable with. I would not recommend coming here for the coffee or the experience especially if you...
Read moreThe coffee is good, which is why I kept returning. The service is mixed. There is a young man who works there who is rude. I waited for 10 minutes while he took his time, chatted about his day and ignored my order. The nice woman behind the counter had to finally ask what I was waiting for. The 2nd time, I arrived 2 minutes early prior to opening. He told me to leave. I waited in my car until they opened and he then served 2 people before me who came after me. I own a retail business. I'd lose customers if we treated people the way he does. Good coffee, but somewhat unwelcoming environment by the young man. I'll take a break from this place for a while even though I live in the neighborhood. I'll check back in the future to see if the problem is corrected. Great spot. ...
