We started at LVLUP – Verona in January 2025 after our daughters’ martial arts location permanently closed in 2024. We were looking for a place where they could seamlessly transition and build on what they had already learned. We have found all of that and so much more at LVLUP. Not only have our daughters (9yo and 6yo) continued to level up, but our son (4yo) has started as a tiger and has absolutely loved finally getting to jump into martial arts with his sisters. Everyone is always excited to go and upset if we have to miss a class.

Tigers Our 4yo jumped right into the mix and was doing things I had no idea young kids could do. LVLUP has helped him double down on his confidence, and he loves showing everyone he knows what he’s learning. This is his first sport, so it has really helped him with discipline because he practices a lot at home. Even though everyone is working individually on their belts, LVLUP feels like a team, and our 4yo loves to be a part of that. We love how the Tiger class is tailored for younger kiddos just getting started, but challenges them in so many ways that will serve them well as Beginners and beyond. Master Moh and the instructors are amazing at helping keep this younger age group engaged and excited, but also teaches so many life lessons in a digestible way that makes it easy for us as parents to reinforce at home.

Beginners We were so inspired by watching our kids giving it their all that Jared and I decided to sign up as Beginners in March. My husband says he had the urge to sign up when the kids started in January, and he wishes he would have started earlier. Admittedly, it took encouragement from my sisters in law for me to even consider it, but in the end, I am so happy we did this. There are so many other adult Beginners that we never feel behind or out of place. The LVLUP community is supportive from day 1, and we’ve always felt at home.

We love doing this as a family of five. My 4 yo woke up one morning a couple weeks ago and the first thing he said was “Mom, I love your taekwondo uniform and I love watching you believe in yourself that you can do it.” As an adult, it’s been a really amazing way to be active, grow our strength, and push ourselves further than we thought we could go “at our age.” We may be Beginners, but every class is a workout and we always leave feeling like we gave it our all, which is also great for our kids to see from us.

Intermediate and Leadership Our girls are in Intermediate and also participate in Leadership classes. The skills they are learning have really helped them believe in and push themselves, and understand the importance of effort and follow through. It has truly been transformative for both of them in different ways and we wouldn’t trade this experience for anything. Master Moh also has a really unique ability to help every student feel seen and like they can accomplish their goals. He always seems to know just what to say to help unlock someone’s potential in a positive way.

As a family who now spends a lot of time at LVLUP-Verona, they get 25 stars, five...

We recently joined LVLUP Verona and have caught the martial arts bug! With my five-year-old and three-year-old in the foundational Tigers program and myself starting as a beginner, we eagerly look forward to each session, no matter how many jumping jacks or pushups are in store. 😉

The best part is the incredible community. Sr. Master B has a really remarkable talent for engaging young children. He is able to help them to focus, to demonstrate respect, and guide them in becoming proficient in some pretty complicated movements. He meets them where they're at, breaking everything down into digestible motions and building confidence. It's been thrilling to see how far the young Tigers have progressed just in a matter of weeks, both with how brave they are to volunteer to demonstrate in front of everyone and in their actual movements and forms.

And the same for us Beginners, as we aim to make the movements better and better each time. The families and kids are friendly and cheer each other on, and we love seeing multiple generations participating together. There are also things happening beyond class like friendly competitions across the LVLUP locations, little challenges to encourage practice with prizes, and events like the Hometown Days parade.

LVLUP Verona offers us a fantastic energy outlet, a way to grow both mentally and physically, and a supportive community to be a part of. Our family is thrilled that LVLUP has...

We LOVE LVLUP Verona! My boys were enrolled shortly after Christmas as a gift from their great grandma. We were looking for a way to help build their confidence, and to combat their struggles with discipline, respect, and the bullying they were going through in school. LVLUP has given them so much. They are doing better academically in school, showing better behavior at home, and most importantly, they are showing self confidence and are less afraid to fail, because they know they can keep working to reach their goals in a SAFE environment. They have found a place they feel they can belong. My children suffer from asthma, so traditional school sports like soccer or basketball just don't work out for them. At LVLUP, they never feel left out because of their condition, and the instructors never make them feel bad for needing a moment to catch their breath. They've learned that through hard work and dedication, they can grow, and that they must show drive and determination to reach their goals. It's helping my boys build better relationships with everyone around them, and it's teaching them to work together to achieve success. I would recommend LVLUP to any parent or kiddo. In fact, several of my son's friends have since joined, and they all...

We have been members since this location opened a year ago and I can't say enough good things about it. My girls (age 4 and 9) are excited every day we get to go for class. The tigers program is the perfect balance of martial arts instruction and fun for younger kids and focuses on a "yes I can " attitude. The lessons they teach reach so much farther than just the mat. When my youngest was struggling to ride her new bike I watched her stop, take a big breath and say "yes I can" before trying again. The program for older kids and adults is the perfect challenge for all those ages. I have seen my oldest daughter push herself more and try more things than in any other activity. But by far the best part of LVLUP are the instructors. They are so incredibly engaging with members of all ages. I love that my girls have such incredible role models in their lives. If you are looking for something new to try, at any ages, or are looking for an engaging, challenging and rewarding activity for your kid you can do no better then LVLUP.
