When I began the wedding planning process, one of the most challenging tasks was assembling the perfect team to make my big day flawless. After browsing through countless websites, I came across Rooted Culture and decided to send an inquiry. Right from the start, it became clear that they were the perfect fit. Their communication was excellent, and their pricing was not only reasonable but felt like incredible value for the quality they offer.

As we got closer to the wedding, we scheduled my hair trial. They were so accommodating, working around my busy schedule to find a time that suited me. During the trial, the stylist really listened to my vision and brought it to life with complete ease. The result was nothing short of perfection—I absolutely loved the look she created.

On the day of the wedding, the Rooted Culture team was punctual and professional, maintaining open communication throughout the entire process. They worked efficiently, styling all of my bridesmaids’ hair beautifully and finishing everything with time to spare. Every single one of us looked fabulous, and the best part? Our hair stayed flawless the entire day and night, even through all the dancing and celebration.

I cannot recommend Rooted Culture and their amazing team enough. They not only made me feel like a true princess on my wedding day, but they also made sure that everyone in my bridal party felt just as special. This will be a slightly longer review, but my overall comment is that I would leave more than five stars if I could.

I started going to Rooted Culture in February and have had a few appointments so far, I’ve really enjoyed each experience. My mother went to school in the late 2000s and opened her own salon (Cici’s Salon) when I was young, and had big dreams of growing her business. She accomplished a lot, but we sadly lost her in February to a very aggressive breast cancer. Since I’ve enjoyed this salon, I decided to book an appointment for my younger sister to get her hair done too- she’s never had her hair done by anyone but our mom. She was booked with Halle for a haircut and partial highlight. Halle absolutely nailed what my sister was envisioning and was very fun to interact with. The owner and all staff involved are doing something very right with this business, and have always been incredibly professional and friendly.

Huge thanks to Halle and the staff member who was working the desk whose name I didn’t catch. Thank you for providing such a wonderful first experience for my sister. This whole review may seem extra, but grief can make such normal things- like the experience of going to a salon- feel so hard and surreal. But the experience she had all around just completely took us out of that headspace and I think that’s a nod to how this business is run. This salon focuses on the bottom line and not on their clients. This was my second time visiting the salon. The fist time was fine. On this visit I was getting my roots colored. After Katie was done with the coloring she said she would be back in 30 minutes to shampoo me. After 25 minutes I watched her start on a new client. At 30 minutes and after overhearing their conversation about also coloring the other client, I asked Katie if someone else was going to be finishing my hair. She said someone else was coming to shampoo me. At 37 minutes I asked her again if someone was going to finish my hair and pointed out that I had been processing for almost 40 minutes. She pointed it out it has only been 37 minutes to which I gave her an exasperated look. She then went and got another person to wash my hair. He explained they double book all the time. While he was shampooing my hair I asked him if someone else would be blow drying my hair and he said yes. The shampoo took much longer than the last time and when he was almost finished, Katie suddenly appeared and took over for him. Katie blow dried my hair and after she was 'done' I had to ask her to finish blow drying it in the back because it was still wet. I understand double booking if it can be pulled off correctly.
