Lifting Lives Thrift Store — Local services in Vicksburg

This is my favorite area thrift store. Things they're good at: Friendly staff, good prices on clothing, books, and DVD's. Their earnings go to a GREAT cause - helping the poor, and running the nearby homeless shelter that can be seen from their parking lot. Things they're bad at: In clothing, their displayed selection isn't very large lately, despite many donations in storage. Their staff are very hard working, so I think they just need more employees. PRICES of furniture and household items are way too high. Many furniture, appliance, and kitchen items are damaged or broken but still very high- priced - often the same price or higher than retail. As a result, items in this area of the store often sit for months - or even years - and this part of the store is crowded and disorganized. They desperately need to have a nice clearance sale in this part of the store, and freshen it up a bit - and bring down those prices. Many people who shop here are poor, and would benefit from...

This is the most racist business that I ever experienced. I am a very nice, and very quiet person. So I normally don’t experience someone showing racism to me, but I didn’t even have a chance to take my seatbelt off, or even get out the truck for a lady in a small red car to come out & start recording me & yelling this is private property. I never raised my voice at her I just left & told my mama about the experience. The store is hot as Hell I ask the Manager why they didn't have some fans on and she was rude as Hell she said we have the air on but it's just hot outside so you can not expect it to be very cool in here.
