My family stopped here for dinner at 5pm on a Saturday night. There were less than 10 people in the restaurant. That should have been a clue.
We had the buffet. There was no fresh pizza on the buffet. What was there was a few pieces of various kinds of pizzas. The food had been on the buffet for some time because it was dry and tough. My daughter could not finish one piece because it was too hard. During the hour and 15 minutes we were there, the staff only added 2 pizzas. One was a tomato and lettuce, and the other was a dessert pizza.
Fortunately, there was a salad bar. But you were greeted with a sign that says take only what you will eat because the price of lettuce is high. I agree with the management that we should not waste food, but the sigh really makes the customer feel unwelcome.
The service was non-existent. You had to hunt down the server. She admitted that she was a terrible server and that it was due to her being a prep person.
The real shock was the price. I paid $15.98 per person! My bill was $68 without the tip. I had 5 small slices of pizza, and all together, we probably had 15 small slices. This was definitely not worth the price, nor was it quality food.
Locals know to avoid this place, but if you are traveling through Vicksburg on I-20 at exit 4, this might be a place to skip. At the very least, look to see if the parking lot has more than 2 cars and check out the buffet before you pay.
I really do not want to give it a poor review. I understand how hard it is to operate a business now, but there are several things the management can do to improve the experience for their customers. You may not be able to change the cost of the food, but you can give them good quality for what they...
Read moreI recently had the misfortune of dining at Pizza Inn in Vicksburg, Mississippi, and I can confidently say it was a culinary disaster.
First off, the pizza on the buffet looked like it had been around since the dawn of time. Dry, cold, and utterly unappetizing. And let's not forget the glaring absence of pepperoni pizza – the universal favorite. How does a pizza place run out of pepperoni? That’s like a coffee shop running out of coffee.
But wait, it gets better. There was a sign informing patrons that they could request a pizza for an extra dollar. Yes, you read that right. They expected us to shell out more cash for a chance at a decent pizza. When I voiced my dissatisfaction to the cashier, his response was a dismissive, “It gets like that on slow days.” Oh, fantastic. So, on slow days, customers should expect subpar food and zero effort?
If you enjoy disappointment served cold, Pizza Inn is your place. Otherwise, save your money and your taste buds. This visit was an epic fail...
Read moreWas not any pizza on the bar when I got there at 5:30 pm and it took about 15 minutes for them to get some and it was so many people waiting for the food that it was gone before I got any and the management was like we were not expecting this many to come in tonight. I asked if I could get a discount and the manager on duty told me that they don't give out discounts just because they don't have any food ready. I will not be going back if they are going to make excuses for not being able to keep up with the food and service. The cashier tried to add a tip on my ticket on top of all that and when I told him to take it off he had a very bad attitude and said it was added automatically when you spend more than $20 it was already overpriced with them not having any food ready and then you were adding a tip for your waiter cause she was your wife. I'm just trying to let everyone know to watch your tickets when you go...
