I was out thrifting, trying to find some decent clothes for my granddaughters birthday, she was turning 6. wonderful age for children to experience! i thought DAV would be a great place to start. but while i was shopping, i noticed this customer being rude to the employees. as i watched and searched for clothes, nobody did anything about the customer whatsoever!! the manager did nothing about the customer mistreating the employees and it annoyed me while i tried to look through the clothes!!!! i was annoyed and left and went somewhere else. I then came back another day to give it another chance, hoping things had gotten better. did they? NO!!!! there was the one employee, her name was TRISH. she was so rude! she gossiped so much about other employees, i did NOT enjoy listening to the FOUL LANGUAGE!!!!! The RACIAL SLURS, the LANGUAGE, RUDENESS,.... i feel so awful and terrible for these poor employees that have to put up with her! i did NOT appreciate her personal business being spoken about, with her and another man!!! i felt so sick to my stomach, it was so inappropriate!!! i also do not appreciate BROOKE, another employee, being ALL LOUD MOUTH AND GHETTO around her fellow co-workers, it made me feel terrible and sick to my stomach. the place has such a bad vibe because of these terrible employees, i did not wish to shop there anymore. the only good experience i actually had at that store was at the checkout, with , i think her name was krisy? she talked kindly to me and had apologized for any inconvenience. i do not ever want to step foot in that store ever again!!! terrible place!!!!!! i feel for...
Read moreThis "thrift store" is pricing more and more like a consignment store. I recently saw many shirts that were marked higher than they were from the actual store they were sold at. It is sad that many times, you can find the exact same items marked on clearance and then come in here, to see the same items marked up. I have seen this done at the Goodwill that is close by, also. I know the cause it supposed to be supporting the Disabled American Veterans, but that is more of a reason to be honest and fair in pricing. $14.98 for a pair of worn shoes, which will obviously be lacking some of the support, and need to be cleaned is not thrift store pricing. I have found better deals online for sneakers, with free shipping! Going to the thrift store used to be really fun. You didn't always buy what you needed, it was often times something that was such a good price, you couldn't resist! I used to enjoy making family time out of, and stretching our dollars further....but recently, this location is priced high time and time again. Plus, they always have tags that say "as is." There is no discount if the item has a bleach stain or broken zipper. Most reputable stores will offer a price reduction and give the customer the option if they still want it! In addition, I have never been greeted upon entering this store, never thanked for my purchase, nor smiled at. I have never been acknowledged for dropping off my donation items in the store here. The only reason I kept shopping was for a good deal, to help...
Read moreI love going here ! what makes them different is the staff they love to interact with me they know me my name. I usually try to stop here every day after work to see if I’ve missed anything or if anything new has came in. I only donate to this place because they definitely have my heart ,I have three children and I can almost always find something for them here and as a Holiday person they have something for every holiday when Halloween came around they had a whole aisle full Halloween costumes. When Christmas comes around they have a whole aisle dedicated to Christmas but they also have a whole window display of Christmas stuff year round I love this all the other thrift stores shoot their prices through the roof just to get money back on items that don’t have any life left like shoes that look disgusting. This place doesn’t do that. One thing that I would change about this place is we need more Graphic tees And I know that comes with the people dropping off, but I’m sure they can make it happen. They make everything else happen. Thanks again for being my number one spot. Sincerely your number...
