This location is vile.
The deli, bakery, and meat department are committing so many health violations that I lost track before even completely circling the bakery. There were frosting bags with old crusty frosting on them in a dirty sheet cake container mixed in with cupcake toppers. The oven doors and exhaust are greasy and overall filthy. You can see by the buildup it has been some time since the vents were cleaned. The deli cases have clearly been neglected for quite a while - in addition to needing a good cleaning, it also looks like they have far surpassed their life span. There is food and crumbs in the hot case, along with baked on piles of grease. There is dried meat/cheese pieces on the scales and on top of the deli cases. They keep their slicers covered with trash bags, but I wonder what it looked like under those if the scales were THAT filthy. There were boxes sitting directly on the floor - boxes that have containers for your food in them and shouldn't be on the floor in the first place. There was general dirt and debris on the floor indicating improper cleaning. The tops of all the counters were filthy. It's stainless steel - you literally just have to wipe it and it shines again. The most appalling thing was the seafood. In addition to a dirty floor and counters, under the prepackaged crab there were piles of rotten moldy food (it looked, perhaps, like it had once been a berry of sorts) and dead bugs. SO many dead bugs. Flies galore. This amount of dead flies does not come from just 1 day of an employee forgetting to check. This place is...
Read moreThey are out of stuff most of the time and don't seem to care about to restock. Their online customers seem to be more important than people with disabilities because they practically wipped out the handicap parking. Also the pharmacy , the one in kempsville and Providence in Virginia Beach, is horrible; I called a refill in on Friday, itwas supposed to be ready on Saturday; after I received a notification that it was ready for pickup I went to get it on Sunday and it was not ready. I was told that it would be a few minutes till it was ready Idropped my friend at the movie theater and returned to the pharmacy and it was still not ready. Right after the tech told me it was not ready, I received a second notification telling me that my prescription was ready for pickup. Meanwhile, the pharmacist , Scott something, was there looking like the most accomplished employee in the whole world. Needless to say I am not a customer of the pharmacy anymore, I now get my meds at Harris teeter on Princess Anne and South Plaza and I am beyond happy with their service. The pharmacist, Janelle ST. Louis, took the time to greet me when I came to request the transfer of my meds and every time I have been there she has taken the time to say hi. Janelle ST....
Read moreI live near this Kroger and dropped in today for crab legs. I waited patiently in the seafood department and watched an employee I assume receive some type of training from another employee from the meat department. After finally being acknowledged by the employee receiving training I was told to give him a minute. After giving him a minute to finish what he was doing. I inquired about Kroger having more crab legs in the back. I was told to inquire from a man walking from the back. The employee walking from the back told me he wasn’t sure and to check back tomorrow. Upon checking out with my items I asked the cashier did he possibly know when more seafood would come in he said he didn’t know either. Upon leaving store I spoke with a lead on the floor who was cutting up boxes and happy to share that she was a lead. However she was also unable to assist me as well. I spoke with 4 different employees and none of them thought to contact a supervisor or to take the time out to find out when possibly would another truck arrive. Whatever happed to good old...
