I was soo excited when I drove up to The sweet spot 2 on July 17th. I just knew I was in for a royal treat ;) We showed up at 1:30pm because I’d looked at the time for the Virginia Beach location, I was informed by the Owner that this location didn’t open up until 2pm. She gave me her sincerest apologies. With a baby in tow and an extra large stroller, I’d already parked and quickly became disappointed, however Mery allowed me to leave my car while I took a run to a local drug store to grab my baby a toy sine we had to wait a bit. She told me I could leave my car there and come back. This was extremely helpful because it’s a lot of work to unpack and repack a stroller with a sleeping baby. Once we returned we jumped in line . The rest of my party are arrived as well after notifying them of the time correction. we took our place as second in line. @2pm The doors swung open! We were sooo excited, finally we are here! Instantly we felt like little girls as our eyes took in all the Princess pink, the pink marbled floors the swing, the flower vines and all the intricate flower detail, the beautiful neon sign that read “sugar, you taste delicious”. It all set the tone for the type of experience we were going to have. It reminded me of somewhere in California, and made me feel as if I were in another state. Everything about it said fabulous! The cashier was pretty helpful although basic but We were next in line and it was our turn to order, I got the strawberry cheesecake, my aunt got a vanilla bean frappe, and my friend got the funnel shake and some waters it all cost about $35. We sat down where we could be out of the way with the baby’s stroller. There was enough room between most tables. We chose a 1/2 booth. We took photos while we waited for our ice cream which took maybe 10mins or less. The shakes cake out so clean and accurate just like the photos each one detailed and special to its name, so photo worthy! I instantly took the cone off and let my one year old have it (it was his first ice cream cone) and it was just enough for him, a small one scoop ice cream on a cone, and it kept him busy the whole time he absolutely loved it! (Pics below) , not to mention I ate the whole thing and it didn’t ever seem like too much sugar. It wasn’t overly sweet. Anyway, I will continue to frequent this location it’s family friendly, clean, great prices, great ambiance, amazing food quality & presentation and a stellar owner. This was quite the...

The staffing and location need some work. They have limited parking in front and that's fine but there really needs to be a sidewalk from the rear parking to the front. Currently you just have to walk through the grass which is slanted and covered in animal feces like it isnt tended to even though it's supposed to be a walk way. Additionally for a summer night they had 3 people that I could see working and no real organization. They were crossing over each other and doubling back so things were just slow. It was a Tuesday night though so maybe they weren't expecting to be busy. I get that.
The loss of 2 stars comes from how they handled a parking issue. 3 vehicles parked outside of marked parking lines resulting in them blocking off the empty handicapped parking spot. My mom, two daughters and I had to park behind the store and walked around. I let the manager know. She asked one table if they parked there, came to me and stated that she could keep asking people to see who had parked there and then we could move our car. Before that though she asked several times where we were parked. Her tone just made it seem like 1) if we'd been parked in front she would have thrown it back on the owner to set up signage and considered it handled and 2) that she really didn't want to be bothered. We told her we were just going to order to go and she stopped trying to get anyone to move the cars. Honestly, the appropriate thing to do would have been to do a store wide announcement that anyone illegally parked needed to move their vehicle. In the attached picture the spot is to the right and the THREE cars under the purple arch are all parked outside of white lines aka illegally.
My kid loves the food so we'll head to the Oceanfront location...
