I went there and purchased 2 artificial Christmas trees, some color lights and some additional Christmas decorations totalizing over $2500.00. At the time of purchase one tree as not in stock and it was due to arrive in 1 weeks time. I purchased additional lights for the tree, and at that time I asked if they were returnable. I was told that I was able to get store credit or exchange for the white lights instead of the multi color lights if I like with no issues. I picked up the tree in a weeks time and set it up. After adding the additional multi color lights, I decided that I like the white lights better, but there was not enough. I went to exchange the multi color lights and when I shared this story with the person behind the counter she informed me that she would not take any exchanges or give me store credit because it was past the 10 days. I was asked to speak to the sales men who sold me the $2500+ purchase and he said that he never said that. He told me to "read the receipt" and walked away like a little child. I raised my voice so that he could hear me as he was walking and I was saying, "you promised me a store credit or an exchange because the tree that I was putting them on would not be in for a week, and a 10 day exchange policy was not reasonable, if I would have known this I would not have purchased the lights at this time. Then some older person, named Bob started walking towards me and the sales men said to him something like "don't bother with them". I explained what was going on to Bob, and he threatened to call the police. I was why? And he reponed leave or I will call the cops. So I left, Bob ran out into the parking lot and told me he was going to take a picture of my "tags". I was a customer of Green Leas for many years as I grew up the area and made purchases there from Christmas items, to outdoor furniture and umbrella's and outdoor plants and shrubbery. I was going to purchase from Balsam Hill as a friend purchased there and their tree was amazing but I thought that I would give the "local" small business my business, I made a huge mistake. From the sales person out and out lying and Bob threating to call the police and following me to the parking lot, I will never shop there again, and just wanted to share this. If there are any verbal promises made, please have the salesperson write them down...

Shop at your own risk, especially if you have a problem. BTW it speaks volumes a Facebook group page was created for the exact reasons. Their lack of customer service and rudeness. The umbrella was defective and they refused a full refund within 24 hours of purchase. My receipt stated full refunds within 7 days. My return was less than 24 hours. They pointed to a small sign stating no refunds on patio furniture. I complained. You would need reading glasses to read the return policy. The owner started screaming he doesn’t need my business. Needless to say I spent a small fortune at that store buying a complete line of Brown Jordan Furniture and was shocked by this outburst. Read moreMy brother and I bought my mom a gazing ball in December for Christmas from Green Lea. It sat on top of a plant stand on a covered porch out of the sun and has faded tremendously in the span of four months. When I took it back, Jimmy told me I could exchange it and any metal gazing ball will fade over time. I asked Jimmy why would they not stand behind their products and he told me "he doesn't make it, so its not his product." While I was looking for another gazing ball, I decided to exchange it for a glass one. Another employee was sent over and told us we could NOT exchange it and we had to go back to speak to Jimmy. He then told us we shouldn't have purchased it since we should have known it would fade and we decided to leave. He continued to scream and yell as we walked out the door. I would never recommend them nor would I go back and I am a customer who has spent thousands of dollars on patio furniture, cushions, pillows, an umbrella and stand, and numerous plants.
