We visited the farm last weekend and had a wonderful time. We chose to visit the farm after seeing the cheese caves described in the Texas Monthly magazine. FYI, the cheese farm is part of the Homestead Heritage village, which includes a café with homegrown food and traditional homemade crafts from pottery, grain products, woven and wooden crafts (furniture, quilts, clothes, etc). We went down inside the cheese caves and got to watch the worker prepare some of the cheeses. You can easily spend a half or whole day here and enjoy walking around the village and eating lunch. Great activity for a romantic weekend or family time with the kids. The general store features many seeds and materials for home gardens, preserving and canning, etc. The Dr. Pepper museum is also close by so all of this together made for a great weekend...

This was so fun ! On our way back home , I seen a great big sign that said ,( Cheese cave ) 8 miles from the exit! We had been traveling for about 3 hours ... So we stopped ! We pulled in , we got out , went in the cheese cave ,first ! From there, they have a coffee bar , I had a iced chi tea and Iced mocha coffee , very refreshing! From there you can mosey on over to the cheese bar store ! This place has hot sauce , chalk pencils , cheese tasters , nick nacks , recipes and much more! Super impressed with this little hole in the wall quite little place. Right outside of the cheese bar there is a picnic area super green grass, and peach trees. I was so impressed with this place it brought peace and just a sense of relaxation quiet calm this is definitely a place that should be looked at buy...

So, I had stopped here after seeing a billboard on the way to Dallas. This place is absolutely adorable! The woman working there was so helpful and sweet. The had so much more than cheese. Dried fruits, flavored vinegarattes, candles, keepsakes, jams & candy. I bought 3 cheeses after trying some samples they had out. I AM IN LOVE WITH THE MARINATED LABNEH. Perfect with crackers. They also had fresh goat cheese infused with cranberries and it was divine. She suggested we go see the Cheese Cave! It was located a few steps beside the shop. You walk down the steps and you can see LOADS of cheese wheels. It was amazing !!!! 10/10 if I didnt live so far I would probably regularly visit this place ! Prices: Brie : $11.76 (paid $6 was 50% off) Parmesan:...

A very friendly woman runs this shop and can tell you anything you want to know about their many locally made cheeses. Nice little shop with samples available as for other items like olive oils and honey, all local. And BE SURE to visit the Cheese Cave on the property. She said they have over 2000 cheese wheels stored in there. You can see quite few from the viewing window, but the powerful aroma from all that cheese is just heavenly and should not be missed.

We were on a road trip through Waco and thought we’d check out this cheese shop. I bought 2 blocks of cheese. The Blue Cheese in a clear wrapper was fine. The Smoked Gouda in butcher paper was moldy. So moldy, in fact, that the mold went pretty much through the whole piece. Don’t buy anything in a package that you can’t see through. Cheese that is $28/lb should at least meet health codes. Mold in my blue cheese is fine; in smoked Gouda...no thank you.
