They sold me a watch on eBay, which arrived extremely over polished, with scratches and dings. When confronted about it, they didn't want anything to do with it. Would not recommend for important purchases, very disappointed about the treatment. I have updated this review to show the photo showing that I bought it from AJ Marks and the preposterous condition of the watch when it arrived. The online photos on eBay were intentionally out of focus to hide the damage. Ridiculous. Edit #2: I have also attached the pictures that were allegedly “not blurry” and “showed the condition of the item”. These guys are completely untrustworthy, the dents in the case were not shown, the extreme polishing was not shown, to the point where you can see spring bars out of the side holes… ridiculous! I have attached a photo of another Date day I own to show what the lugs should look like. Absolute lack of responsibility and professionally from the owners of this shop. I also attached the description of the watch so you can see that at no point the extreme polishing was mentioned. Either these guys don’t know anything about watches, or they are extremely deceiving. In either case, a complete red flag for a serious jewellery. And by the way, I have 100% feedback on eBay and a 20+ luxury watch collection, mostly bought from eBay hassle-free. This is by far the worst experience I have had buying watches on eBay, which is rich giving the watch was coming from a “trusted” jewellery. A few months ago I was in the market to buy an engagement ring for my beautiful fiancé. Like many, I had never done this before and was quite nervous about the process. I chose AJ marks in Wareham because I had purchased a few things there before and it always felt more family like than other big chains. I was greeted at the counter by Hilary and have been thankful every day since. She is dedicated, knowledgeable, compassionate. She knew everything about the stones, bands, metals, baskets, and everything else I was clueless about. She made me feel comfortable, never attempted to stretch my budget, and was there every step of the way. When diamonds came in she thought I would like, she immediately called me to come in. When there was a small issue with the chosen band, she had me come in to show me multiple different options that would work instead. By the end of the process, she almost felt like a friend; I think we even shed a few tears when we saw the final product together. My fiancé said yes (yay)!) and is absolutely in love with her ring. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR FAMILY STONES!!!!! If I could give them zero stars I would... not only did they destroy and lose a family heirloom of my fiance's, the customer service afterwards was astonishing. John's behavior still makes my stomach turn, he was so horribly unprofessional and disrespectful. After a mistake HE made during the heating and cooling process, an old family diamond was destroyed. He demanded we pay for it and after my fiance took a half day from work to get it sorted out they ended up replacing it for free (with a lesser quality diamond). We asked for the old diamond back because despite the damage (which we hadn't even seen yet) it had sentimental value. John then had us wait in the store for 45 minutes while he ran around searching TRASH CANS for it. He then got upset and accused us of providing a fake diamond, despite the fact their own jewelers tested it as real EVERY time they serviced that ring for the year leading up to this disaster. "I gave you a real diamond and all that was left of yours was shattered glass, I can't find your CV." We ended up getting asked to leave the store and have still not seen our family...
