Ocean State Job Lot — Local services in Warren

If I could leave zero stars I would. Older bald cashier on 6/13 around 5 pm was extremely rude. I asked him if an order I placed online was ready and rudely stated “if you didn’t get an email it’s not here.” Then asked if he could check that a gift card I received in my email was activated but again rudely said”I can’t check that.” I then asked if there was someone that could help and he said “I don’t know.” I then asked his co worker for assistance and he was extremely helpful and checked right away that it was activated. My boyfriend was going to exchange an item he had previously purchased but was floored by the way I was treated that he left the item there without exchanging it. "Most" of the sales people seem bothered when you ask where and item is located. Never will they walk you to the "aisle" which are not clearly marked making for a worse shopping experience as you hunt for your item.

Management seems equally uninterested. I realize this is not a high end store however that should not be the prerequisite for customer service. It comes with the territory !!

Having managed a large hardlines retailer I can say the blame lies with management for not hiring and TRAINING properly. This is not to say all stores are like this however I can speak for WARREN RI AND the newer store in SEEKONK MA both of which I have shopped at on more than one occasion. But...

Cashier bold older guy working 5/27 @315pm Reg. #5 extremely rude ; I had to go to my car to grab my wallet took less than 3 mins . I kindly said to him can I leave my cart at the service desk he lies and tells me this is customer service then rudely says " go quick" I come back he then continues to be rude explaining to another customer the hold up with attitude.
