Given the strong ties to the USA you would think they were more organized on this level. As it is I have to renew my passport overseas or online. Not the end of the world but would be so much easier if I could do it through the embassy in the nation's capital where I live. In summary, I wanted to find out how I could get around the issue of sending in my old passport. Maybe if they had spent some of that $118 Million on recent refurbishments (art work etc) and more on customer service for British citizens like me I'd be writing a more positive review. I was unaware that after the application is typed up and you set a date to get your biometrics done (this is only for immigration to take your finger prints and picture for the visa) you are provided with a receipt. You have to submit all the paperwork required along with that receipt. Once they receive your forms you receive an email. Then you have to wait an additional 15 + business days to receive your Passport and visa in the mail.
