My daughter and I had 7:00pm reservations for her Birthday. We were on time. The decor was lovely, and we were seated quickly. However. The service could use some improvement. Soon as we walked through the door the entire vibe changed. The reception was very chilly and snobbish. Because my name is Ukrainian I believe they were expecting someone lighter in skin tone. It was a new experience that we both was excited to try. The hostess asked if this was our first time. Tip: be enthusiastic about presenting the different choices of caviar you serve. Make suggestions to guests that are experiencing this wonderful chic experience for the first time. Instead the hostess pointed to the menu and said try these choices and walked away. Two other patrons walked in (not of color) and immediately the reception was totally different. Second tip: as expensive as caviar is/was, serving them with pringles potato chips is very disappointing. The icing on the cake was paying our bill, the couple next to us received their bill in a pretty gold Caviar can with pearls, our check came, paper receipt placed on the table. I believe they realized the disservice and unprofessionalism was prevalent that they decided to add dessert On the house.
Suggestion: Treat all patrons the same. The only color that should matter is green. I probably would not visit again nor recommend a friend. Atlhough, I will end on a positive note, the caviar was delicious!!...
Read moreIf you're looking for an unforgettable experience in Georgetown, Baku Caviar is an absolute must-visit. I had the pleasure of dining here with a friend recently, and from the moment we stepped inside, we were treated like royalty. The service was impeccable, and every detail of our tasting felt thoughtfully curated to ensure we had an exceptional time. The star of the show, of course, was the caviar. It was truly out of this world—exceptionally fresh, rich, and full of flavor. I was particularly impressed by the commitment to sustainability. For every serving of caviar you purchase, they release 10 baby sturgeon fish into the Caspian Sea, which is such a beautiful and meaningful touch. The caviar is raised, caught, and harvested sustainably, ensuring both quality and respect for the environment. As someone with a gluten allergy, I was especially grateful for how accommodating the staff was, going above and beyond to ensure that I could enjoy my meal without worry. The entire experience left me feeling well taken care of, and I was able to fully appreciate every bite. The quality of the caviar, combined with the incredible service and the commitment to sustainability, makes Baku Caviar a true gem in the heart of Georgetown. As a local, I can confidently say this will be one of my new staple spots for both a special treat or simply a night out. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking to indulge in the best of what DC & Baku...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of indulging in Baku Caviar, and I must say, it was an exquisite treat! Ordered from a store in Washington, DC, and shipped to my home in Seattle, the entire experience—from the seamless delivery to the exceptional quality—was nothing short of luxurious.
The black caviar was impeccably fresh, with pearls that glistened beautifully and had the perfect pop upon tasting. Its delicate, buttery texture and rich, briny flavor transported me straight to the Caspian coast. Every bite spoke of its premium quality and meticulous craftsmanship, making it a standout choice for any occasion.
I paired it with a classic shuba salad, and the combination was absolutely divine. The caviar added a refined touch to this traditional dish, perfectly complementing the layers of flavor. It’s an upscale delicacy that turned an ordinary dinner into an extraordinary feast.
For anyone seeking authentic, high-quality black caviar, Baku Caviar is an absolute must-try. Worth every penny for the...
