Was here for the DC Open 2025. This is a trash facility. Paid $200 a ticket. There was a single men’s bathroom that was filthy and had no paper towels. The sections had extremely small and barely noticeable labeling, making it difficult to find one’s seats. The stadium itself is a rust bucket. The railings are full of rust and falling apart. The entrance to the arena was just dirt.
The seating is cramped. Not only is there no leg room, they shove as many people on to the benches as possible. How about selling 1-2 less tickets in each row so people can enjoy themselves? At a certain point there was no security checking people’s tickets so anyone could just take a seat anywhere. Towards the end, security at the front gate was removed so anyone could walk into the event. Which became obvious because groups of people were spectating from the corridors, never taking an actual seat even between games and sets.
Overall this place is on pare with DC. Dirty, run down, and over priced for the quality. No wonder the top players did not play at this tournament. Tickets should have been $50 max. Will not...
Read moreFellow travelers, whether you are a fan of Tennis or not, there is something to enjoy at the Mubadala Citi DC Open. Taking place at the Fitzgerald Tennis Center across several courts, there's something for every fan. There are several drink and food options around the stadium, as well as lounge areas to grab a drink and relax. Our favorite was Mi Campo Tequila Lounge, where we ordered the Mi Campo Match Point Margarita in the Souvenir Cup. Bring your own (empty) reusable water bottle and stay hydrated with refills from the water station.
There are many activities and giveaways, including photo ops with the giant tennis racket, and the short but fun Mubadala experience. We attended Session 2 and watched 3 exciting matches. The crowd became more engaged as more attendees arrived at their seats.
There is first come parking onsite available for $50, we arrived at 9:00 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. and there were still plenty of spaces.
The Mubadala Citi DC Open, the world's only combined ATP/WTA 500 event. This is the place where memories are created and we...
Read moreWent for the Citi Open last Thursday. It’s a decent facility and I liked the layout of the 5 match courts. Staff were very helpful and seemed to know what they were doing.
The reason this only gets 3 stars is because of the price gouging. On site parking is $50. When you’re inside, you can expect to pay $23 for a burger, $18 for a cold sandwich, $9 for one scoop of ice cream, and $7 for a bottle of water. And that’s before taxes and fees. Yes, you can bring your own water bottle, but the water they provide isn’t cold.
I enjoyed watching the tennis and saw some very exciting matches with top 10 players up close. But the prices inside are pretty crazy and they kind of put a damper on...
