Husband: The Hipstoricdc Wine Tour is the ultimate experience. Our driver Carlos was friendly, charismatic, and very knowledgeable.

From the hotel pickup, having a spacious, clean, and comfortable SUV to accommodate 6 adults comfortable was the first positive that set the tone.

During the ride to all destinations, Carlos stayed engaged in conversations with us, which made the somewhat long drive seem shorter.

Once at each destination, he took the responsibility to take pictures and videos for us, especially scenery we may have not been aware of. Sharing knowledge and history of the surrounding areas as well as the wineries proves Carlos is a premier host.

His care throughout the tour allowed us to really enjoy our time. The birthday man was excited and highly satisfied from beginning to end. Carlos is someone we will call upon again.

Wife: Ditto to my husband's response. Also, Carlos wore a hands-free microphone so that you could hear him throughout the ride while providing the history of the towns and wineries. We felt important...like celebraties.

His attention to detail was impeccable! He provided a charcuterie board that had local cheese, meat, and honey to pair with our wine. Taking pictures throughout that day allowed us to be engaged and not distracted by our phones.

Providing a birthday gift to my husband was so personable. He truly made our group feel special and catered, too.

It’s taken me a week to come down from cloud 9 after the experience with Hipstoricdc’s private wine tour on 11/13/24. We were blessed to have the company’s founder, Carlos, as our chauffeur and wine tour guide. Carlos is nothing short of amazing and exceeded our expectations in every way. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the history of Virginia’s Wine Country and about the production of wine. My fiance coordinated with Carlos to propose to me at Hillsborough Vineyards. He surprised me and got down on one knee during our stroll in the vineyards and Carlos was right there to capture every second of the proposal on video. He also took the most magnificent photos! The proposal experience could not have been more perfect, romantic, and beautiful without Carlos helping to execute. We are forever grateful and forever friends!
