Great place to shop . But I will say today when shopping I spent $300, and as I was leaving there was a young mental challenged boy that walked out without paying for a thing of potato salad so the manger stopped him and I told her I'd pay for the young man's food and she told me that I wasn't going to pay for a junkies food and she called the cops. That broke my heart he is someone son or brother yes he did wrong but u can tell he had other issues not drugs . So I went and bought him food and waited to show the police the receipt so they didn't think he stole the items . Just sad that we aren't asking how we can help instead of judging ppl especially as a manager. To the older woman that manages the store you can do better yes the kid was wrong but so were you have some compassion for others instead of saying "no junkie deserves for a stranger to buy the food " . Let's start treating ppl how u want to be treated or how u would want ur child, grandchild, or urself to be treated if they were going thru a hard time. I went to use the ladies room this afternoon. I went to open a stall door, it started to open a bit then next thing I know the lady in it slammed the door back at me with great force, knocking me onto the floor (thankfully another lady washing her hands broke a good portion of my fall so I hit butt down. The door was not locked, the lady responsible didn't apologize but hurriedly left the restroom. I would like to thank the lady that broke my fall from more serious injuries. Two Hannaford employees standing there, an older man I see there often then the women I've never seen before but failed to even mention filling out an injury report. I will be in touch with management this week. The lady in the stall told my son she had every right to slam the door at me. That's untrue, she should have had the door locked, period. Hannaford, formally known as Shop n' Save or Shop n' Shave as the locals called it. It's always a nice experience going to this hannaford. I've never had any bad experiences there other then when I was hired there and fired the next day after a background check even though I put my history on the app before they hired me. And instead of letting me know they just never called back so I called them wondering when I would be called and given my scedual, instead I was told I was fired and gave me no reason, when I asked if they wanted me to bring the work shirts and brand new hat and brand new apron back and there response was "you can keep it" am I that horrible that you guys wont even take your damn property back? People are insanely judgemental and egotistical, I believe at least 2/3 of the United states population are...
