What a great experience. Took the leather working workshop and it exceeded my expectations. Tim and Khaula have created a magical place. Beautifully decorated, work stations are well thought out with individual tool sets. At my class Tim played the part of the knowledgeable instructor providing thorough explanations, well narrated demonstrations, and careful support as we did it ourselves creating our projects. Khaula was a gracious host, manning the bar if you wanted to order a glass of wine (or sparkling water and other non-alcoholic options). Ginger and Wilbur the cats even placed a visit. Highly recommend. I’m going to have to try a candle making class.

Took a candle making class with my girlfriend, and was blown away by the entire experience.

As soon as we walked through the door, the fantastical, enchanting decor that encapsulated the space, transported us into a realm of creativity, storytelling, and whim.

The workshop looked like it could hold 8-10 people comfortably, and also featured a wine and refreshments menu that paired well with the space.

For those like myself who don’t have much a crafting sense, Khaula introduced and explained every aspect of the candle making process in a way that was easy to follow, and actually encouraged us to even try it at home.

The hour flew by and we left with a pair of artisan candles that almost smell too good to burn!

My wife and I went and took the candle making workshop and it was absolutely perfect. Khaula and Tim were exceptional in the process and customer service. They were welcoming, down to earth and enjoyable to talk to. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and we loved every minute of it. Beautifully decorated and the work stations were well organized. If your looking for a unique date night experience I would highly recommend The Local Makery. Can't wait to go back for their leather workshops!
