Fiddleheads Coffee Wauwatosa — Restaurant in Wauwatosa

I’ve been a loyal customer at Fiddleheads Coffee for about two years now, frequently visiting both the Wauwatosa location (because it’s closer to my job) and the one on Water Street. Unfortunately, my experience at the Wauwatosa location has been disappointing due to one particular employee.

While most of the staff are professional and kind, this one employee has been consistently rude and unpleasant. Recently, this individual even told me to stop coming to the Wauwatosa location and to start going to the Water Street location instead — which is incredibly unprofessional.

On top of that, this employee frequently gets my fiancé’s and my order wrong, despite us being regular customers for two years. We eventually voiced our concerns to the manager. Sadly, things escalated last Friday when this employee attempted to pick a fight with us in front of a full café. All we did was politely request that a different employee make our coffee (since they often get our order wrong). Rather than handling the situation calmly, this employee raised her voice, falsely accused us of being rude to the cashier, and created a loud and uncomfortable scene.

To anyone visiting this location — if you encounter this particular employee, I recommend avoiding the situation altogether. Better yet, visit the Fiddleheads Coffee shop on Water Street instead. Let’s start by saying Fiddleheads is great, I recommend them!

Wife and I have been going to the M.Falls location for quite a while. We live in New Berlin and go out there every other weekend because they have great Frappuccino’s (Blended Drinks)! We were excited for the soft open here at the Tosa location because it’s so much closer!

Went there on the first day of they soft open, Thursday, March 16, 2023 we ordered what we always do at the M.Falls location. “Blended White Mocha with Vanilla and Cinnamon full flavor” weren’t really happy with the drinks because there was something in them we were not used to as I chewed on it the texture was leafy

We went again today Saturday, March 18, 2023. I Ordered the same thing and wife ordered a Blended White Mocha with Vanilla and Caramel. Same thing was in our drinks. Wee drank them there this time so I went to the counter and asked, they said it was espresso beans blended. They don’t make it that way in M.Falls so I asked them to remake it without. They did with no issues and it tasted much better. My issue is when they gave the new drink it was over flowing and very messy. I asked for napkins so I can clean and wipe it down and they pointed me to the counter behind me. IMO they should have offered to clean it for me.

I would like to give Fiddleheads 5 stars, however our last 3 visits here each time our food order has been wrong, hence the 1 star.

The issue is that staff are not properly reading the labels printed for their breakfast sandwiches and are not applying the add-ons that were paid for (add on sausage patty). Their products are good and delicious, which is why we keep coming back. However, your staff should be properly trained to read the full printed label for the order and build the sandwich appropriately.

It is frustrating and out right embarrassing that a customer would have to return to the counter because your staff failed to do their job. It is even more frustrating when you place a pick up order via the app, pick up your order assuming it is accurate. Only to get to your destination, open your meal and it be missing the add on that you paid for.

We will return because we enjoy supporting a local business. However, we will now always be double checking our order for accuracy especially when ordering ahead...
