Your waffle vendor is very inconsiderate and rude. My family (and multiple other groups) were set up in the field near the playground and the volleyball court enjoying food and drinks together. After about 2 hours, your waffle vendor showed up and set up their shop about 100 feet away to the southeast of us. They then rolled out 2 gigantic generators towards our area. The man looked at us for a moment, then proceeded to set up the generators about 40 feet away from us and walked back to his waffle trailer. He powered up the generators and they were so loud it completely drowned out all noise of our own conversations amongst one another. I walked over to their trailer to analyze their setup and noticed that they could’ve set up the generators much further away from the populated field area and still have the generators be a safe distance away from their trailer. There was a woman in the trailer and I asked if they’d be so kind as to move their generators a little further away from the field area. The woman gave me a sly look and said she’d have to check with her husband. I perceived that as her way of saying “tough luck deal with it.” So, rather than arguing with this rude woman, I decided to be the bigger person and calmly walked away. Hoyt Park is supposed to be a family friendly environment and I don’t believe that their act of inconsiderably setting up two extremely loud generators so close to this heavily populated area supports that. I trust that this email will be viewed and appropriate action be taken going forward to prohibit such a nuisance from...
Read moreWho doesn't love Hoyt Park. It was second home to the Enderis Park kids of the '90's 😊 I was there with a young grandchild on this day, and the beer garden had just opened. Great for them, but it was a culture that, although I'd grown up in it, seemed a bit haughty, if you will. Anyway, playground is great, the grounds were well kept, the pool was closed and we weren't there for swimming that day anyway. Good memories of my daughter and many of her friends, who all grew together in Enderis Park, riding their bikes there and spending a good long time at the pool. Even 20 years ago it just seems like it was a gentler, kinder, slower time. It's a busy entrance, so be careful driving in, and out. Watch...
Read moreI like the location. The prices is 9 dollars for the morning and 9 dollars for the afternoon.Children 2 and under are free. The only thing I dislike is that if you pay for morning swim you have to pay for afternoon swim as well when they open back up. Now for my family my size is 8 (two of them are 2 and under). This day we have an extra with us. So I pay for a total of 7. Now you do the math. If I wanted to attend afternoon swim that would be around 120 and the afternoon swim is only 2 hours. I think it should be free if you already paid admission but other than...
