Wauwatosa City Hall — Local services in Wauwatosa

On August 1, 2025, I reported a dangerous incident involving a Wauwatosa Fire Department engine that likely caused permanent worsening of my tinnitus. I contacted Mayor Dennis McBride, City Attorney Jennifer Tate (twice), and Fire & Police Commission Chair Danielle Long—the three people most directly responsible for City Hall’s accountability. Not a single one of them responded.

The only city employee who acted with professionalism was Cody Xiong from the Fire Department’s Community Outreach. He promptly replied, answered questions, and followed up. Cody is the exception—City Hall’s top leadership ignored me completely.

Flooding in the Milwaukee/Waukesha area didn’t even happen until August 10th. My outreach was August 1st, giving more than enough time for at least a basic acknowledgment. These are taxpayer-funded positions, and this was a serious safety and injury concern. The silence says everything about their priorities.

Steve the city clerk manager is the rudest person. We pay your salary, your dept hinders voting rights, it sells personal information to 3rd party relations but pretends they dont.
