Dollar Tree — Local services in Wayne

Went in to purchase 6 balloons for a childs birthday. I stood there next to the young fellow at the cashier, he saw me and I motioned I needed balloons, I did not expect him to get them as I saw two girls walking around that could have helped me. .....but I thought he would have said to the girls someone needs balloons. duh, guess not. I kept standing in front of the balloons, and after staring at the young girl, she finally came over and said "how many do you want"? I said 6 and she said "which ones", NEVER SO MUCH AS CRACKED A SMILE. When I mentioned the number she said " no don't have it," I mentioned another she said "no", I said a third number and she said "no' the 4th was a no also, .....so I got three of the same balloons. ! ! ! ! ! I will continue to go to the dollar store a mile away in Lincoln Park, thank you, ...........Oh and who does your human resource, who interviews these people for jobs. I know a lot of young kids that would love those jobs and assist the customer with a smile and some manners. We my family and friends will be avoiding "Dollar Tree"...

I almost Never write a review, because Frankly I'm never all that impressed with most shopping experiences to actually note it.. However today I was at This Dollar Tree by chance to see if they had something I needed. Only went here because I was in the area for other Business.

Walked in to Ali greeting me from 25 feet away with a huge Hello!! I took a second to realize she meant me.. LoL. I waved back then kept shopping. I noticed she was speaking to everyone like she knew them. All the employees asked if I needed help so kudos to the staff as a whole, but I was Blown away by Ali. I worked 28 years in retail, and tried to hire the best of. The the best Ali was a great hire and Her personality made my Day. I tried to actually write the customer service to attempt to commend her, but that's near impossible to get . I hope Dollar trees recognizes Their employees who go above and beyond Ali certainly does...

Love this place, I shop at it religiously. The workers are nice, I in particular became friends with a few as I go to it a lot. One worker who seems to be the manager, for some odd reason hasn't seemed to wash his uniform in a fairly long time. He calls for the second on line to go to the third register and I walk over being first there, I don't have time to wait so it is expected to happen. Than he makes a person cut in front of me and makes a snotty sounding remark saying "He can wait." When I actually ended up being two minutes late to an event because of it.
