I ordered the brisket with mashed potatoes and veggies.... And it looked just like a meal you would get in prison !!! It was very sad. And the guy the wiped our table off actually made the table smell like curry and body odor. I dont like to talk about people, but this was AWEFUL !!! He tried to clean the table off and instead he made it smell AWEFUL!!! Every one was telling me how good that place was.... They obviously don't know what a good place is. Over priced and completely just SAD. I wish I took a photo of my plate... It looked 110% like a prison dinner you get at the chow hall. It was like the mystery meat dinner you get in prison. A complete disappointment. Don't waste your time... This place is completely for idiot red necks that never go out so they don't know what good food is. And ladies if your date decides to take you there.... Don't go. You will be completely disappointed by the food. Not just the brisket. The calamarie was AWEFUL too. The breading wasn't even cooked all the way. You could still see the flour in it not cooked. And even the chicken fajita was FULL OF SALT!! It was like chewing on salty chicken but all you tasted was salt. I really dont like to complain about a place. But this is just the honest truth about my experience there. The waitresses were so slow to bring is the check , we could have walked out with out paying. And they weren't even busy!! There was only 1 other table that had 2 people there! The ONLY thing that was good was the raisin biscuits they give you before the meal. But they only give you 2 of those. One for you and one for your date. The other 2 biscuits they give you are just some store bought cheap bread. I really don't like to give negative reviews. That was the only 1 thing that was good there! Any ways... That was my experience... I was better off ordering a beer from the bar and just grabbing a plate of food from the precooked pan...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at the Grasshopper Restaurant, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with both the food and the ambiance. The restaurant's unique blend of a bar atmosphere with a focus on culinary excellence was truly captivating.
For my main course, I opted for the Capellini Florenza priced at $17.95. This dish consisted of Capellini Pasta elegantly combined with succulent Shrimp, vibrant Spinach, earthy Mushrooms, and the delightful freshness of Tomatoes, all bathed in a fragrant Basil Sauce. The flavors harmonized beautifully, creating a symphony of taste that was a treat for my palate. The shrimp were cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful, while the vegetables provided a wonderful contrast in textures and tastes. The basil sauce added a delightful aromatic note that elevated the entire dish.
What struck me most about the Capellini Florenza was its remarkable quality at such an affordable price. The Grasshopper Restaurant managed to deliver a dish that boasted fine dining elements while maintaining a reasonable price point, a feat that is not often achieved.
The bar atmosphere of the restaurant added an additional layer of enjoyment to my dining experience. The friendly chatter of patrons, the tastefully curated decor, and the general conviviality in the air created a comfortable and inviting ambiance. It's rare to find a place that strikes the balance between casual and refined so effortlessly.
In conclusion, my visit to the Grasshopper Restaurant was a memorable one. The Capellini Florenza was a true highlight, showcasing the culinary prowess of the kitchen while remaining accessible to a range of diners. I would not hesitate to recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a delightful gastronomic journey in a welcoming and...

My server John was great! He brought me my food and drinks extremely quickly and always with a smile. My entree, the Capellini Florentino, was brought out even before I could finish my soup. According to John, the kitchen was on its game tonight, which is especially gratifying on a busy Saturday night.
As I finished my dessert - a silky and tasty Peanut Butter Pie - I asked John, out of curiosity, if it was Karaoke Night. He informed me that it was and welcomed me to wait a few minutes for it to start. Warmed by the atmosphere, I agreed and waited to see what some of the tipsier patrons of the bar had to offer.
A few minutes later, another server named came over to my table. The young and attractive waitress introduced herself as Whitney. She seemed shy but also confident. She then proceeded to make, in her own words, a "proposal" to me: She asked me if I was willing to do a duet with her! Pleasantly surprised and honored by the seemingly random proposal, I happily accepted. I'm not sure just how well I performed the song with Whitney, but we definitely had a blast in getting the crowd to join in the chorus of "Hey Jude - her choice. As a life-long Beatle-maniac myself, I give Whitney extra kudos for having great taste in music.
The night went on and John continued to make sure my glass was filled, even after Whitney has to leave for the evening. Whitney also had the good manners to stop by my table to thank me for the fun experience - but the pleasure was all mine.
Grasshopper can rest assured that it has earned the repeat business of one very satisfied...
