I have been a loyal customer of this company for more than 20 years but, I will never buy anything from this company again. I purchased a TV stand and mattress last week and it hasn’t even been delivered. Yesterday, I wanted to exchange the TV stand for a larger one or receive a refund for the TV stand. I was told that once I paid for the item it belonged to me and it could not be returned or exchanged even though it was sitting in their warehouse. I had already picked out other furniture and was going to stop by their store on yesterday and pay for it to have delivered. That nearly $10,000 or more purchase in furniture will be spent somewhere else. My sister was ready to pay for an order of over $12,000 that we had picked out. If you’re willing to lose that much money over an $800 TV stand you certainly don’t need my business. I have already spent over $7,000 since January in furniture and this order was for is another $4,500. It doesn’t make good business sense to me to lose a loyal customer and thousands of dollars of dollars in sales over $800. There are many other stores out there that I know will appreciate getting a loyal customer.
Update: Carolina Furniture Concepts did reach out to me long after the incident. Their offer was to replace the console with a larger one if they had it in stock and to make sure they could get my large furniture order along with my sisters order. Both of us are building new homes and purchasing all new furniture. After much thought regarding the situation, and the manner in which it was handled, I feel if I were such a valued customer this issue would have been addressed at the time of the sale as I repeatedly requested with the sales agent, Willie, and not long after the fact. Read moreVery quick to help sell us 6000 dollars worth of furniture, but took 3 or 4 week to get it, then part of it was delivered and set up damaged, very unhappy with the bed, the bedroom set also smelled really bad like a chemical smell very strong odor, has slow gotten some what better, the bedroom set definitely wasn’t the quality we were expecting hope the fume don’t give us cancer wake up for several nights with a extreme headache, trying to get them to replace the damage furniture, is a hassle we call and get told we have to email customer service to take care of that it’s been nearly a month they dragging their feet and giving us the run around, pretty sure we are stuck with it, and they are not going to make it right , think twice before buying from them. As of now we or no one we know will. The bed also seems to sleep like you tilted up side down had to go to Lowe and buy lumber to braces underneath the mattress at the headboard to keep mattress and pillows from sinking under headboard because they like a 8 inch gap between slats and headboard. Very unhappy and feel ripped off. Looks good but is very cheap quality beware. When the customer service repair guy called he wants to come repair it , I told him that would be a waste of time don’t see how he could , and also I bought a new bed not a refurbished one, I want it replaced with a new one shouldn’t have to settle for refurbished . Read moreBy far, it was the worst buying experience I’ve ever had. I ordered a chair and, to my surprise, I was told that the chair would arrive in approx. three weeks. Almost seven weeks later I was notified that the chair was available for pick up. When I picked the chair up from the warehouse it was still wrapped for shipping and I signed a receipt for It. When I got it to my home I removed the shipping wrap and realized that it was not what I ordered. After lengthy disputes with Carolina Furniture Concepts (CFC) I was told that they would not give me a refund because when I signed a receipt at the warehouse I was actually accepting the chair even though it was not what I had ordered. I had ordered a wall-saver recliner and the chair I had signed for was a recliner but not a wall-saver. CFC admitted they had made a mistake when they placed the order but I had accepted the chair when I signed for it at their warehouse, therefore, they would not give me a refund. I now have no choice but to have the matter settled in small claims court. I realize all this is hard to believe but it actually did happen.
