My husband and I have ordered from Farm to Cake many times- between the two of us, over 10 cakes for birthdays and events. We have been happy to pay more for their cakes, because we are happy to support a local business- we even went as far as to still pick up a cake we had ordered the day after Hurricane Helene, because we knew they were probably going to be lacking for business for awhile. Unfortunately, we have noticed that management and customer service has gone extremely downhill. The manager has been snappy, aggressive, and pushy the last few times we have called to order- but we continued to support them. A few weeks ago, I ordered a smash cake for my son's first birthday- as well as 24 cupcakes for guests. I asked if the cake could be smaller than their smallest since he will be the only one eating it- they said yes, but still the same price as the bigger size. Again- I said okay to their ridiculous attitude. The total for the order was supposed to be $94. A few days ago, I realized I needed 12 more cupcakes. When I ordered, I received a bill for $84. I said thank you, but Nevermind adding them because this is just too expensive for 12 additional cupcakes. I then receive an email with a link to pay an additional $39 for my original order, as THE BUSINESS had invoiced me for only 13 cupcakes on the original invoice, and they were expecting me to pay the additional $39 even though it was their error. I called the store to explain that I order from them all the time, and I would really appreciate the manager owning their mistake and keeping the price $94- as that already felt expensive for a tiny cake and 24 cupcakes- plain cupcakes with no design. As usual she was extremely rude, aggressive, and did not care that we have ordered from them for years. She refused to honor their mistake- so now the whole order is canceled. They do not care about loyal customers- we will never order...
Read moreLast year I ordered a cake from this bakery. The tasting was amazing and we made all of these plans. I was sent a review of what we had discussed and one of the colors of the tiers was wrong and I asked it to be corrected and I was assured that it was. My husband and I also requested that the top tier be chocolate with cannoli filling. It was not on the sheet. The sheet had a different flavor that we had discussed in the tasting, but ultimately changed our mind on before leave that day. So I requested the change of flavor as well and was told it had been made. On our wedding day the cake showed up and the tier was still the wrong color and overall the cake didn't really match what we asked for. However, our guest loved the way our cake tasted and I figured it wasn't a big deal so I left it alone. Unfortunately, today, our 1 year anniversary I pulled our top tier out to eat. It was the wrong flavor. The peanut butter flavor was so overwhelming it made me sick to my stomach and we ended up throwing it away as my husband couldn't stomach it either. It would be one thing had we ordered the flavor and didn't like it but to order one thing, assure it would be done, and then get a flavor that you can't even stomach is awful. I was a covid bride and we fought through the hardest year and paid a lot of money for a cake that...
Read moreThe best pastries I’ve had in Haywood county! They are perfectly flavored, not overly sweet, the dough for all their different creations are spot on. Nothing is soggy - their handpies all do the ingredients justice such as the blueberry one tasting like ripe and delicious blueberries. Nothing is drown in sugar, the flavors are meticulously balanced and we are going to make this our weekly stop! My favorites are the eclairs, chocolate mousse stuffed cream puffs (honorable mention to the strawberry one) the pumpkin pie (the crust omg so good) and the mixed berry handpie. The pumpkin handpie is also scrumptious. My dad loves all the cookies but especially the peanut butter one. They do have loads of GF options as well! I’ve tried the GF blueberry pie bar. Would definitely get it again. As far as savory items they have a chicken pot pie handpie that my dad is obsessed with. They sell out quickly so make sure you get there before noon if you want to marvel at the...
