My husband and I have been going to Vales' 243 since the day they opened. The owner and Chef, Vale' is incredible And what he does with food can only be described as ... mmmagical! The calamari as a starter are divine! The staff can suggest a great wine to start you off! If calamari isn't your thing, then try the rice balls or garlic knots!
His salads are over the moon. Delicious!! We've had all of them so I can't really recommend only one but you won't go wrong no matter which one you choose!
For your main course, there are so many I could recommend, but if you're lucky and they're serving the lobster ravioli, get that! It's normally a special menu item but hopefully you'll get there on lobster ravioli day! It's served in a delicious pink sauce and Vale' will be happy to tell you what that's all about!
We also are big fans of the chicken or shrimp Alfredo! These noodles are cooked to perfection and this Alfredo sauce is better than any I've ever had! It's cheesy and gooey and you will have to refrain yourself from licking the bowl! But there's so much on a plate. You'll have plenty to take home. Trust me.
If You're looking for something more hardy try the marsala! Oh my goodness ... it's fabulous! Whether you get chicken marsala or lamb marsala or any other kind of Marsala they're offering that day, do it!! It's really and truly magic!
And while I'm at it, just let me add that their Lamb Shanks are out of this world!
If you're looking for more of a traditional bread food, you'll never go wrong with the Stromboli, calzone, or any of their amazing pizzas! The Basilico (white pizza), is crazy good! The crust is perfect and the sauce absolutely heaven! The large pizza is really, really, really large so if there's two of you you're going to take a bunch home! And don't worry, it heats up Fabulously!
Always remember to ask your server what wine the chef suggests with each one of the entrees! They always suggest something new and exciting and we occasionally buy a bottle!
If you stop in for lunch. You can grab a slice of pizza or one of their fabulous sandwiches served fresh and hot! The prices are the best in town!
For dessert ... My favorite is the limoncello sorbet! It is a frozen sorbet made with limoncello and it is perfect for cleaning your pallet after a delicious meal of all that wonderful garliciness!
But their cheesecakes, tiramisu, or spumoni are just as delicious!

Read moreThis may very well be the best all around itallian restaurant I've ever been to. I recently had my tonsils out and I am trying to eat some solid food again. The wait staff immediately took notice that I couldn't speak well and that I couldn't eat much. They accommodated me by giving me a childs portion (Something I'd never normally get). Not only that but my party ordered a pizza and we were all having a great time celebrating my healing but it was taking a little while (Although we barely noticed) The chef came out and apologized for the inconvenience, explained that there was a slight mix up and that he was working on our order and gave us free garlic knots! How very sweet! The chef is always on the floor and he is checking every second of your experience at his restaurant. You can see the beaming smile on his face and sparkle in his eyes as you compliment his delicious food! The menu is simple, classic and easy to understand. The fewer items, the fresher the menu and boy is this place fresh! Even the salad is exquisite, with homemade dressing, croutons and crisp veggies! The soup had bright full vegetables that had different textures, from soft Broccoli to crisp carrots! And everything has a rich tomato sauce made just like you were in an itallian grandmother's kitchen! The decor makes you feel at home. Even desserts are decadent and delicious! You come to a restaurant expecting something to be off. You know the kind where the food is great but the salad is awful. But I truly found no flaw here! Every dish, no matter how small exceed my expectations! The staff is kind and welcoming and the ambiance is beautiful! This place really nailed it! Come in because the smell drew you here. Sit down because of the excellent waitstaff, stay because of the delicious food and come back for the good prices. Valé 243 has already won us over! Definitely worth letting it win you...
Read moreWhat an outstanding restaurant, I am so grateful these lovely folks are here! This is a family owned business, and you can taste it in the food and feel it in the atmosphere. Meredith, one of the owners, is one of the most genuine people you'll ever meet. She was kind, attentive and engaging with all of her patrons. When my mom insisted we eat here for dinner, she told me "it's like eating in someone's kitchen at home" and she was spot on! You feel like you're at the sweetest (and most delicious!) dinner party. We also got to meet Valerio, Meredith's husband and co-owner, as well as his father! It was so charming to see this family supporting one another and working together to help this restaurant thrive!
The space is intimate and each table is close enough to the others that most customers were starting conversations with each other. This is a place where you can really feel connected with community, and get to know your neighbors. Every table was full when we arrived, and the food seemed to take some time to get to people's tables as well as take out orders to be fulfilled. And yet not one person was upset! Meredith was so humble and sweet, every customer was enjoying themselves and chatting with their neighbors, and the food is OUTSTANDING that it was so worth the wait!
As for the incredible food, we ordered the Caesar salad, arancini, lasagna, and a sausage garlic and onion pizza, as well as the cheesecake and tiramisu. All I can say is every single thing we had was beyond delicious. I don't think you could order something here and be disappointed, you can't go wrong!
This is a hidden gem that won't be hidden for very long. Word of mouth is spreading fast, and I know they will be busy for months and years to come. Make sure you come to this establishment and experience it for yourself, you will...
