We set up a date to get a calf processed 6 months in advance, because that is how far out they were scheduling. We picked the calf that we thought would be ready at the right time, put it up and fed it every day so it would be ready when the time came. Then about 2 weeks before our date to get it processed, they let us know that they would have to move the date out another 90 days because they did not have enough freezer room. So now we are stuck with a calf ready to be processed and no place to go with it. Every processing plant is booked up for 6 months to a year. So I guess all that time and money was just wasted. Very disappointed in them. I certainly understand they are very busy and we are not a big customer. But I don't feel like there is any legitimate excuse for being that far off on the date we were given 6...

We also really like their chicken - always turned out tender and juicy when we have cooked it. However recently, we purchased one of their meat boxes. And when I opened it, it had 2 packages of Tysons Chicken in it. I don't buy Tysons Chicken even at the grocery store. They have some of the worst chicken processing plants out there. One man removes his hat, scratches his head then returns to handling raw meat. Another man carries a box of meat outside to a customer, opens the door everyone else’s touches to come in to the store and jumps right in handling raw meat with the same pair of gloves he walked out with. Not to mention those same people handling the meat, adds up the total on a calculator, writes the ticket, handles money, answers the phone ALL WITH THE SAME GLOVES GO RIGHT BACK TO HANDLING THE RAW MEAT.
