Little Panda Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Weatherford

My family and I were in the mood for some Chinese food a few weeks ago and decided to give this place a try. I personally did not like it, nor did my husband or 2 of my kids. I ordered the House Special Mei Fun, and that item was a hell of a lot of vegetables. It had 1 flippin shrimp, literally. And a few pieces of the rest of the meats it was supposed to have in it. I usually don't mind, but this time, I was a bit bothered because I pretty much paid to get sauted veggies. I also did not like the sauce it had. My husband got the shrimp fried rice, and it was very bland, and the shrimp was overcooked. My daughter got the wonton soup, and that too was very bland, very simple. Just broth and 3 wontons in a super small to go container. The broth had no taste, and the wontons texture was a bit rubbery.

The service was ok, but it could be better, honestly. The young man who was cashiering was polite but was not so engaging. Which is fine, I suppose, but being in customer service, you want to try and be more approachable, more engaging in your role. It was hot and humid outside as it was inside. I don't know if their AC doesn't work or if they just don't turn it on, but it was hot in there, which led to us being there for a short time. I did not say anything about our food to the workers because we would not be going back, so I found it pointless to say anything. Another horrible experience here. The little girl at the front did not know how to ring in the order correctly, so instead of asking for help she just told us they can’t do that. After ordering and sitting down we realized that it was very hot and they only had one fan going and it was pointed directly at the cashier while sitting on the garbage can. They brought out our food and we quickly realized that one of the meals was wrong and we were missing a side dish. This time a guy from the kitchen came out and we tried explaining what was wrong to him and he just said “here” and threw our receipt on the table and walked off . We thought he would be bringing the corrected meal and side dish but that never happened. We reminded the little girl at the front we were still waiting on the corrected dish. She went and talked to the guy who came out and threw the receipt at us. I could hear him saying “if they want food then they need to come up here and order again”. So I walked up to the front and let him know the little girl got it wrong when we ordered not us. He refused to help me until I started pointing out the mistake on the receipt he threw at me. I told him I would just pay the difference so with a very nasty attitude he took my money and placed the correct order. Then when it was done just threw it in the counter and said “foods ready”. Had only been here 1 time, when it first opened years ago I don't remember if the food was good, but I do remember the rudeness of the female employee, and that kept me from coming back. Thought I would give it one more shot because we were craving good lo mein and some hot and sour soupb. Soup wasn't that great, and we got home and didn't realize we didn't get a drink. I called the restaurant to see about getting a credit back on my card. The kid at the front answered the phone and didn't know how to do it and he asked other people in the restaurant how to do it nobody knew how to do it. So nobody knows how to give a credit back if you didn't like the food. The only person that can do it was out of town. It was also too far away to return for the drink, ESPECIALLY how high gas is right now He also said "well You can always stop by sometime and get a free drink". Um... It's not free if I paid for it and didn't get it the first time 🤣 Overall just not really impressed with te whole thing. There's a reason I didn't go back for many years and probably won't...
