The Hope Chest — Local services in Weatherford

The women working the front are extremely rude & not Christ like, not a single drop. I’m a frequent shopper and it’s like they’re competing on who can be the rudest. Today I purchased a cute 5pc silver tray, fully intact. The rude woman who packaged it broke the glass of the tray when she put the 4 pieces of silver on top of it. It was my fault to not check immediately in the car that the pieces were intact after she had dumped them in. When I got home and opened the box, I noticed she had put all the heavy silver on the glass, and the glass at the bottom!!! SMH. On top of that, I was speaking to a really sweet blonde lady who works there, she was the cashier and she was such a doll! I asked her what she would recommend to clean silver, and the other rude woman cut her off and said to me “we don’t polish things for you here” and continued to double check the prices on the items I purchased as if I had swapped prices or stolen!!! I have been a frequent customer here, and the amount of racism and Christian music they play here is ironic. I brought two ladies from Pecan Valley Centers to The Hope Chest to show the ladies what beautiful items the store has for sale.

The ladies from Pecan Valley assist families and I thought The Hope Chest would be a great place for the ladies to refer their clients to for shopping for quality resale merchandise.

After I introduced the ladies to the manager, Heidi Rodosta I felt as if the once warm, embracing atmosphere at The Hope Chest no longer exists.

This is one of my favorite resale shops. Every lady that works in here has a heart of gold. The dressing rooms are so nice. They have the neatest, cleanest, put together, resale shop I have ever visited. One of my favorite things is how the display outfits on mannequins above the clothes racks and in the windows. I take my nicer stuff here for donation. Their proceeds go to an excellent Parker County Charity for Women and Children, families...
