My Husband and wanted furniture from a store that had character and had items that other stores would not have on hand. We had been seeing information on Whilhite Furniture and thought we would drive an hour from Arlington, Texas to your store. We purchased furniture from your store on December 30, 2023. Our Salesperson is Kelly. We were first working with a young lady and in conversation claimed she had been there many years and Kelly would be the one to help us so we waited for him. We found furniture that we liked and discovered that it was "discounted half price" and was a very good piece of furniture from Lazy Boy. We also found an amazing recliner chair that we had to order and waited many weeks to be delivered. Oh thats another thing. We paid for all of the furniture to be delivered. We Paid by Debit Card for all of the furniture in full. Once we got the furniture it looked very nice but had a few items we wanted addressed so we contacted Kelly on multiple occasions and we even spoke with two different gentleman that claimed one was Manager of Service and one was Manager of Store. Crossroads Repair Service was set up and they came out to work on the furniture. We were told the parts ordered were not the correct items (We still have the parts) and that the recliner on the end of the couch that is one of the problems was not even the recliner for the rest of the sectional couch. We were told parts would be reordered but learned from Manager of Store that nothing had been ordered and he was going to get on top of it and see what needs to be done. We have had multiple family emergencies and life altering experiences through out this year and are still experiencing difficulties in adjusting. In one of our troubles we had to move the sectional and discovered that one section of wood was completely broken. We have not had the time to work on the furniture mess. We just want our furniture fixed and/or replaced. Is there anyone at whilhite that will take responsibility and see this through or did we waste over $5000.00 on furniture that we thought we purchased from a reputable company and would last us for a long time? Please help in getting this mutually resolved.

After my husband picked it up and brought home, it was discovered they had forgotten to give us a piece of the furniture. They wanted to charge us $75 to deliver. It was their mistake! So my husband drove out to get the missing piece. When he got home and took it out of the box, it was damaged. We called and they said they would order another piece. When it came in, they refused to deliver without a $75 charge. After many conversations, my husband had to drive out again, trip #3 to pick it up. They refused to give him the furniture without him delivering the damaged piece. They never told him we had to bring it back. So another trip back to get the damaged piece and then go pick up the furniture. trip #4. total of 4 hrs! we just moved here from PA and was really surprised of this treatment. we thought we were doing business with a reputable company that wanted customers that they cared about for future business. Was told the delivery will not happen for ANOTHER six months! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! I asked why no one called to let us know this? This is just basic customer service and good manners. She had no answer for me except to say “well I wasn’t the one who sold it to you. You’ll have to talk to her tomorrow” This furniture stored USED to be the BEST in customer service and inventory. They blame everything on COVID now. COVID does not stop your employees from calling a customer who has shopped here for roughly 30 years. Never ever again will my family shop here.
