Dulce Panda Creamery — Restaurant in Weatherford

Dulce Panda is an inventive ice cream shop with a great vibe for kids and the young at heart.

The flavors change frequently and are always fun and different - Dr Pepper sorbet, PB Smack (peanut butter ice cream with brownie bits and peanut butter cups) - but also cover the basics - butter pecan, velvety chocolate. And they are careful to mark gluten free options - many of the flavors including the delightful strawberry - and even offer dairy free flavors - No Stuff Oreo (dairy free & vegan chocolate ice cream with gluten free Oreo cookies)!

The ice cream is offered in pre-packed pints but they will happily make up a togo pint of any mix of flavors you want.

They have a little cabinet of shop-themed toys and fashion items on offer, as well. My sister favors the coin and stationary purses in creative designs - pandas, furry, donut shaped.

You can find these sweet bears in a somewhat hard to spot strip of shops on a large road in Weatherford. Keep a sharp eye out! Parking is usually easy right in front of the shop.

Finally, the shop is painted with humorous and lively characters. Even the benches out front are ice cream...

What a great Ice Creamery!! The girls working this evening were so pleasant and truly made us feel welcome. This was our first time in and we walked in the door 4 minutes before close the night before Thanksgiving!! They were all smiles and ready to serve us! To add to our good experience the ice cream flavors were diverse for such a small shop. They have a good mix of classic and new flavors. I was pleased to see allergy info for each flavor listed on the flavor cards. Then the BEST part… they have gluten free waffle cones that they make themselves!! My daughter is celiac and we rarely find Gf cones at Ice cream shops so she was excited but then when we found out they were homemade waffle cones she was ecstatic!! I had the velvety chocolate which was so amazing. My son really enjoyed the dairy free chocolate root beer. He didn’t even realize it was DF. We sampled both the vanilla bean and the cinnamon both were excellent. We ordered 3 pints of each costing 58.00 (9.00) per pint. When we tried the vanilla bean it was just vanilla no bean and the cinnamon had every little cinnamon. I wished that since I was spending so much money that they would have hand dipped the ice cream we tasted into pints but instead gave me pints already made up. It’s very expensive and I was very disappointed. I won’t be going back! I will go back to Marble Slab in FW were they sell quarts and it’s better and 1/2 the price!!!

The owner called me and we went back in . They were very nice and helpful. They made everything right and repacked our order . I will go back and I highly recommend dulce panda. The owners are fantastic. Go in and try some...
