I used this pharmacy for years but switched when they stopped taking my husband's insurance...was gone a few years then switched back after my husband passed away...having missed their convenient drive thru and their friendly staff and especially missed their automatic refills with a text notification....well I don't know what happened cause the automatic refills aren't done tip after the refill dates....2 important meds I must call in 2 weeks prior because those are filled at a warehouse and not on hand...God forbid I forget to keep track of my supplies...when I call 1 person tells me 1 thing...if I go in person another person tells me different... I've seen my doctor every 3 months for 17 years and don't understand how both doctor and pharmacy run on computers but I ...the patient with a brain injury has to stay on tip of everything myself....Walgreens definitely is not as good as they were years ago...I've argued with them over 90 day supplies...they did my monthly scripts as a 90 day supply and was very grateful cause it costs me same as a 30 day supply....next refill rolls around and it's a 30 day supply....I ask why...am told that's how your doctor ordered it....Jesus..Mary..& Joseph....the pharmacy is the one that started the 90 day supply...my doctor was happy when I told her I'm getting 90 days ....both got computers yet I feel like the damn monkey in the middle...and to make matters worse I can't see the dates on my pill bottles even with my bifocals....I'm so overwhelmed feeling like I gotta do every one's jobs...my doctor blames the pharmacy...the pharmacy blames the doctor and I'm just ready to scream...some pharmacy people get upset and cut me off when I'm trying to explain....going there a couple years again now and I just want to scream!!! ...they used to be so sweet there...never a hassle like it's been since going...
Read moreOn or about May 1, 2017 My 84 year old elderly mother went into a Walgreens in Northeast Ohio to get her prescription filled and while she was in the store severe storms moved into the area. While she was at the counter paying for her prescriptions the power went out in the area which included the Walgreens that my mother was in. Store personal informed my mother that she was going to have to leave the store and they (Walgreens personal) pried the electric doors to the store open and sent my 84 year old mother out into what could be described as nothing less than hurricane like conditions. My mother proceeded out the door into the storm to her car were she could not get the car door open because of the high winds and pounding rain. (70 MPH winds were reported) When she did manage to get the car door open and herself into the car the wind forced the car door shut on her left leg injuring it. Therefore it is my view that Walgreens acted in total reckless disregard for my mothers safety that put her life in danger and recommend finding some other...
Read moreToday while I was outside the store I locked my keys in my car. Naturally, I called 911 to ask for help because it was my first reaction. To my surprise, they didn't help and left me on my own. I walked into the Walgreens store and asked if I could use their phone and looked in to see if they knew of anyone who could help. Not only did they let me use their own personal cell phone, they stopped everything that they were doing to help me. This was the nicest thing I have experienced thus far in Ohio. I'm so thankful for the staff and the way I was treated. I will return here for all my general needs. Thank you for giving me faith in humanity and more...
