Iron Mann Grille — Restaurant in Weathersfield Township

First time checking out the new place. They did a good job of updating from the previous whole in the wall. Bartender was friendly and attentive. Music was a little loud made it hard to hear her speak. Wanted to try out the tacos. They had three kinds all fried..pork, chicken, and fish. Choice of flour or corn shell. 3 dollars a piece which a little pricey. I opted for the chicken. Also ordered the queso. Start with my food first. Queso was pretty good had good flavor and a little kick to it. The tacos however where a big disappointment...first off friend chicken is not my go to on a taco..and at first I couldn't even see the meat. Two very small pieces not even equivalent to a chicken nugget. Toppings just lettuce, salsa, cheese and sour cream. At a 3 dollar price range i expect more. Picked jalapeños, pineapple, guacamole etc. These to me where worth 1.50. My boyfriend got the blue cheese stuffed burger with chips. They are stuffed burgers. However this created almost a steam effect to the meat, think kinda grayish color. The stuffing all just falls out and the flavor has that steamed texture and taste. They look nice and its a big burger but execution was lacking. The fries where really good kinda like a peeled skin. Over all not super impressed not sure I would have to go back. I wish I would've taken a picture of the food we received for the price. $2 for a side of ranch that tasted like creamed dill. The pepperoni chips were soft... the smash burger salad was AWFUL. Dry and seasoned and extremely smashed. On the menu the smash burger salad is served with American cheese and Chipotle mayo. Bartender asked if I wanted extra cheese. No I didn't. Don't judge a book by it's cover. Come inside to experience a cozy bar/restaurant. It is a friendly and warm atmosphere with quality food and great service. I had a grilled chicken sandwich with grilled onions and BBQ sauce. Just right and seved with a generous portion of waffle fries. Try the chicken skins. They are the perfect bar snack.
