I visited the store to buy a new well pump. I had worked on diagnosing the problem all day and got to the store only 10 minutes before closing. As I explained what was happening, Stefan was very patient, didn't try to rush me out even though it was past closing and really listened to what I was saying. He suggested, since it was so late that night to try to replace it, to try warming up the pump. Maybe it was just frozen. This was a long shot. It was so late in the day and I'm a single woman who's hands are damaged from an accident and replacing it would have been very difficult for me as well as a financial burden. He told me it was worth a shot and I could come back in the morning to buy the new pump if it didn't work. I went home and plugged the heater in and waited until morning. The next day I reconnected the pump and was so thankful it worked! Stefan didn't make a sale that particular day but he made my day! He gave me excellent customer service that day and I will definitely be a committed customer to this store now because of him. Thank you...

I took this picture to ACE Hardware in Webster to get a new rubber Hoodibob to replace the cracked one under the white thingamajig that was causing a gas leak on my lawnmower.

The handsome young feller working at the service shop worked patiently with me for 20 min or so trying to cross reference part numbers for the Hoodibob and explaining why I probably didn’t need a new spark plug or air filter even though I already sold myself on them (because hell if I’m making the drive of shame back to the store later if it’s not the Hoodibob that’s the issue). He even told me how the leak happened and how to prevent it next winter.

Anyway, what I’m trying to say is Benson ACE Hardware is awesome and so is that fella! For the cost of $12 my issue was fixed (well, at least THAT issue 🤪) and I was able to mow my grass.

So that’s the story of how I know where I’m buying my next lawnmower...

Busy Saturday afternoon at the paint counter. Gotta hand it to the gentleman handling the 6 customers in line with a smile. He told me where to look and I found all I needed. Really helpful (and funny as hell) staff and prices were reasonable. They have popcorn 🍿 too! Seasonal large motorized items were out front on display for sale (lawnmower, tiller, brush clearer, snow blower,etc) Noted: most items I needed were within steps of the cash register and front door, and my pickup truck was parked directly out front (on a diagonal slant). EZ in and out in a pleasant small town.
