Fusion Bistro Cafe Market — Restaurant in Webster

Had kind of an... odd... experience here. I'll start out by saying that it's a cool place and an unexpected find in the heart of cabin country. The two coffees I've tried of theirs were very good and it's a cool concept that they roast the beans while you wait! Now to my experience that kind of left a weird taste in my mouth....

I came in and wanted to buy some Tanzanian Peaberry coffee. I noticed that they didn't have any bags on the shelf so I asked the girl at the counter if they did. She asked someone else in back who responded with something like "I have it pre-roasted. I'm not roasting anything today" which I found odd becuase that's their business... , she came out and said "I've got the (I might be forgetting the exact origin country here) Peruvian, what else were you wanting....? . caught a bit off-guard becuase I wasn't wanting ANYTHING else, I ordered a pound of the coffee (pre-roasted), not realizing that what she told me she had was NOT the coffee I asked for until shortly after leaving the shop.

I came back in after realizing I'd got the wrong coffee (I'd have just kept it but the description card stating the flavors were "winey and gamey" put me off entirely ) and explained my situation and asked if I could just switch it out for the breakfast blend , and the girl looked at me and said "Uhh yeahhhhh?" like it was a weird request. I then heard her talking to her coworker in back about me which just made the situation all the more uncomfortable.

Will I be back? Maybe.... the coffee is good and it seems like a neat place... but I just left feeling like I'd done something wrong and that the employees felt inconvenienced by my coming and...

The new owners of Fusion have done an incredible job! This is our second stop for lunch. First time was during a very busy lunch after the an art festival on Webster High School grounds. Fusion was extremely busy. The staff was cool, calm and collected. Nice job Fusion! You chose your staff well. Today my wife and I had an amazing lunch. We both had bowls (look for the special menu). My bowl was the Firecracker. It was awesome! The food came out promptly and served with a smile. We also had smoothies. They were delicious! My wife and I upgraded to the 20 oz smoothie because it was an inexpensive upgrade. Word to the wise, stick with the 12 oz. A nice lunch with a 20 oz smoothie and we were stuffed! A 12 oz would have been perfect. After lunch staff cleared our table and thanked us for coming. Another positive, bathrooms were clean and well kept. I just wanted a mocha but then I saw their baked goods and decided to order a sandwich.

The mocha is fantastic. Practically otherworldly flavored... It tastes like happiness. I decided on a BLT on ciabatta bread and after a short wait received an absolutely divine sandwich. It was kind of light on the lettuce but heavy on bacon, mayo, a fairly thin sliced tomato, and some light onion. I don't know if it was the bacon or the mayo but there was something magical to it. My taste buds were dancing and cheering as my arteries braced for impact.
