Although I have lived locally for about 14 years, I hadn't ever made my way in to The Rocking Chair. If I'm showing my hand here, if I hadn't needed something, I probably still would have missed out on some friendly, helpful hometown folks.
From the outside, it looks like a typical small town “dive bar” & that wouldn't exactly be inaccurate, but only in the best way! The bartender, an adorable & sweet-as-pie young lady named Datha — I'm certain I'm not doing her right with the (mis)spelling — was welcoming & makes a yummy strawberry daiquiri!

You can pick music on the jukebox & its possible I may have seen a dartboard, but I'm not 100% sure about that.
They allow smoking inside & you can shoot billiards or just “the နђℹԵ” with the friends who came with you, or the new ones you will certainly meet at The Rocking Chair.
I was pleasantly surprised with the place & the whole experience. I do look forward...
