My husband and myself along with are nice and child went into beach comer with our hands completely full. We were in search of an umbrella so we could have a little bit of shade before he went on to the beach, I handed my child to my husband who had his hands full just like it quickly grab an umbrella. Well I had had a Dunkin donuts drink in one of the bags at my husband was holding that ended up just falling out accidentally, We instantly moved everything around it and asked for some paper towel so we can ourselves clean it up. The lady that was behind the counter aggressively said yeah that's why we don't allow drinks into our building very 1st thing she said after we apologized and asked for paper towels multiple times. She then came round the corner the 2nd thing she said was did you guys ruin anything Very snobbishly to which we said no and apologize another 3 times. While I was trying to wipe up the coffee that I had smell she started aggressively telling me to get away and that she would do it that she's gonna need a mop so doesn't stink like coffee in her store. As a local I will definitely be telling family friends to not be patrons in this store for the way that we were rudely Spoken to. Next time just say its OK, say next time please don't bring a drink in. None of this condesending tones like were a 5 year old,...
Read moreThis place looked great from the outside, so my partner and I decided to stop in on our way back home from the beach to get our toddlers a little beach souvenir. Unfortunately, the cashier immediately was rude and condescending to me for just zipping open a plastic bag that had some beach toys in it. I intended to purchase it and just wanted to see better what was inside and the quality of the items. She rudely told me to not open it. We explained that we were going to purchase it and wanted to see inside more, but she insisted and continued to speak to me like a child. I obviously did not feel comfortable to stay and look around, so I placed it back neatly, zipped back, and walked out. Not giving these people my money. This is the second time I was treated this way by a store clerk in Maine, which is very sad. Let me put it this way, if I was of a different color, I wouldn't have been treated that way. Time for some basic customer service skills and anti-racism training,...
Read moreEvery time me and my family went into the shop we were greeted with smiles, and great comments or laughter. Amazing products, all the which are extremely affordable. My son is a black belt in karate and we purchased a Walking-stick with an eagle carved at the top. He joked around with two different attendants on multiple days we were there, about purchasing one which we purchased it at the end of our stay. We also looked at purchasing a deck of playing cards, and my son was able to open them up and look at each one of them in front of the attendant. Again, super nice, joking having a blast. These are the people who need to be recognized. The others, who are shopping need to understand that they just need to be, appreciative and supportive of all of attendants hard work.Let’s just be kind to one another!!
Thank you again and we will be...
