Rollover Cafe — Restaurant in Wells

Anyone who knows what a latte tastes like knows that a latte shouldn't taste like what I was served here. Whomever pulled the espresso shots for the lattes we purchased here must have forgetten to pack the portafilter. Our lattes tasted like someone put one pump of vanilla in an iced milk. You will have trouble finding any of the "freshly sourced espresso beans" they tout about anywhere in or near this shop. The customer area is cramped and confusing. It's impossible to open the door without hitting someone waiting to order, the line to order directly blocks the pickup area so you're forced to meander through a crowd when your order is ready. The person who took our order charged me for the two lattes I ordered but we only recieved one. The cashier hurried us along after we placed our order automatically skipping past our option for a receipt, so I wasnt able to use it for proof and I was not gonna wait in the line again to sort it out. If you could even call it a line, the space is so cramped its up to the customers to decide who's next and who's not. Gravely dissapointed with the quality of this cafe. My sisters got lattes too and threw them away after 4 sips they were so watery and sad. Apologies to anyone with the misfortune of giving this place your patronage. I loved visiting this cafe! The authentic crispy meatballs joined with the sauce for the sub reminded me of growing up with my family making “gravy” on Sundays.

And as I was arriving I had seen an employee rotating the coffee pots out for fresh coffee which is always a good sign! As a coffee lover it brings my caffeinated heart joy to see such things haha.

The wait time seemed average per restaurant standards even while it was busy! Which is really hard to do! As a moonlighting bartender and server I know this can be tricky.

I’ve seen on their Facebook stories that they have a Dj sometimes and some other fun events that cater to bringing the town some fun and entertainment for all the locals and tourists around! What a great idea!

It also seems that the social media manager is very familiar with how to reach its audience. Yet another difficult thing to accomplish these days. So kudos to you guys for that as well!

And the wall of pups is absolutely adorable!! I wish I had stayed long enough in wells to have them deliver me lunch in the beach too! Their delivery scooter is so cute!!

We've been staying in Wells for years, but saw this sweet place was under new ownership. I stopped for coffee our first day - and ended up going almost every day through our week stay. The coffee is SO good. There was no Dunkin Donuts for me this week.

Death by Chocolate is a fave, but I'm also a decaf coffee drinker most of the time - and the decaf is exceptional. They have so many "creamer" options for everyone. The food is very good - made to order! Bagel and egg/cheese sandwiches, and the one I really love - the Tail Wagger Wrap. They use all fresh ingredients too. The full menu offers something for all... including grab and go items (like salads!) After recommending this cafe to someone, they tried the pizza and reported back that it was delicious. If you have a sweet tooth, grab a cinnamon twist with icing -- heated. SOOOooo good!!!

Everyone who works there are so pleasant and professional. I totally encourage everyone to stop by. You can eat on the patio - or take a short walk to Wells Center Beach and watch the waves....
