I've been to nice events here, but multiple others and I were witness to hearing the male owner being incredibly rude over the phone when asked a simple question. The employee at the venue, who was very nice, informed us we'd have to turn the lights off per the owner. With this being a baby shower, not a dance, we questioned why and in turn the employee allowed us to speak with the owner over the phone. Nobody was being rude and we simply asked why we had to have the lights off as it would be preferable to have the lights on for a baby shower. The male owner responded in a way as if exerting power, stating that he was the owner and it was his building. He also stated that if we didn't like that policy he could come and shut everything off and that it was mentioned in the contract that lights would have to be off, but there was no mention of this in the contract we have. Yes places have guidelines for a reason and a simple explanation of that reason would have sufficed. As a business owner you should not be speaking to customers that way who have paid you for service, especially when you werent being met with any hostility in the first place. Complete lack of professionalism and customer service from...
Read moreRude and highly unprofessional; what a way to make us feel uncomfortable at our own event the family worked hard to pay for. 2/3 of the events I’ve attended there have left us with a bad experience. Do yourself and your family a favor, and take your business elsewhere where it is appreciated. The owner YELLED at my aunt demanding we shut down/dim the lights. It was a baby shower with elderly ladies and children in attendance. That is a danger. No term in the contract warned us of such an absurd requirement, and the owner threatened to shut down the event unless we complied. Imagine having to move a whole event over the owner's lack of professionalism when the event has already started… The stress he caused was unfair to everyone, especially my aunt who worked so hard to throw a party for my cousin. As an attorney, I advise he read what his “contract” or lack there of actually says.
The owner wanted to save on that energy bill that...
Read moreI have been to a handful of nice events here but today I had the misfortune of hearing the owner being incredibly rude over the phone. They wanted My aunt to shut off the lights and prepare for the event in the dark. His employee called him to politely ask him a question and he yelled over the speaker something like " Shut off the lights! I'm the owner ! It's my event venue. I make the rules and if you don't like it I can cancel the event right now. No lights. It's in the contract". Mind you that was not stated anywhere on the contract. He even made my pregnant cousin cry. He was so rude and unprofessional. I definitely do...
